The whole Hans saying "You're a great human being" to Jaba makes sense now. I thought it was weird but just put it off to Hans' sarcasm and sass. Surprised Plinket didn't at least give it a mention. It felt like his whole set up was for that 1 line

I think obi wan wants Luke to have feelings of anger and revenge, but I don't think he wanted Luke to give into those emotions like a sith would. Rather, I think Obi Wan knew he couldn't beat vader and wasn't going to win, so when he sees Luke, he realizes that this will be the perfect way to test him, to see if he can handle those violent emotions and channel them into possitives and do the right thing. Obi wan definitely would have known that he'd become one with the force and would be able to check in on Luke later; he just realized that it was his time and time for a new generation of heroes to come to fruition. That or George Lucas didn't think things through properly when making the sequels, which is also sort of true regardless of your interpretation

I actually thought the Jabba bit wasn't all that bad. I mean, the CGI is meh, but I feel like it added to Han's character, especially with walking over Jabba's tail.

it was an old movie that, got turned into a Saturday morning cartoon, available on DVD, or internet streaming services. one of these days I want to get a VCR out and watch the actual movie again.
