I am 75, and I grew up in Manhattan Beach.... It was $150 .00 per month. I lived 3 doors south of Marine St. on the Strand! Now the cost is beyond belief. The price of the house is now 6,000,000,000 . Too bad in what it has become...

Where you begin walking to restaurants/stores/shops at Catalina & Ave I is Redondo Beach (south Redondo) and continues into Riviera Village, one reaches Torrance to the south at about 1/2 way through Mira-Mar park which sits on the oceans cliff, then pretty much straight inland to PCH & PV Blvd to the south is actually Hollywood Riviera and continues on the south side of PCH headed east about a mile to Calle Mayor.

FYI Hollywood Riviera is the residential neighborhood and is located in the city of Torrance, Riviera Village is the business district of restauants and such and is located in the city of Redondo Beach, referred to as south Redondo. My suggestion is do a city border/city line search prior so you are correct on your information.
