Reed Garrett has been a pleasant surprise in the Mets bullpen this season but Friday night he allowed a grand slam home run to the Giants' Patrick Bailey that cost the Mets the lead and ultimately the game. A dejected Garrett was, "angry, frustrated, upset that I didn't do my job to help us win." Manager Carlos Mendoza chalked it up to "just having a bad inning."

The bullpen is being overworked because the starters don't go past the 5th or 6th inning, although SCOTT could have gone into the 7th inning.

This is incredible how the Mets are finding ways to lose. I turned this game on in the 7th 5-2 and thought, finally back in the Win column. Unreal. Not sure I this these jerseys without the white trim on them.

My only thought is why, when Garrett loads the bases up and the Mets are only up three runs, do you leave him in?!? Garrett has been lights out. This was just unfortunate. I can't help but think the management is finding little ways to help them lose on the daily. What the hell is going on?

i think we are honestly getting really unlucky lately the team shoulda won at least 3 of the last couple of losses. All the games are close. Note getting ump calls. Team is getting swinging bunt hits and bloop hits, diaz is melting down and geting the yips. I mean its just not our time. Could be a blessing. Vientos looks like the real deal and when JD gets traded hes our full time DH. Gotta hope baty can figure it all out again in AAA and come up and become a good 3b.

Hold tight. it will happen. Stearns has been on the job just six months. For the cocky Yankee fans, one major injury and your mouths will turn to rubber...you got it pretty good now, but these Mets will for sure turn the tide.
