Can't believe these so called experts don't even mention that Alistair Johnston touches the ball!! They may still think it's a pen but at least look at all the facts FFS!!
@@Jean428 The point is they clearly didn’t even notice. Like I said, they may still think it’s a penalty, but it’s at least part of the discussion. Certainly not irrelevant
@@colinmcguiness These people in the video speaking about it probably didn't know, but whoever gathered the clips for presentation almost certainly did and I assume they considered it irrelevant at that point, probably also to keep the segment short
The way Silva rolled about clutching his face and slapping the ground, having had no facial contact, is frankly embarrassing. Let's hope his manager takes him aside and tells him to grow up and behave himself in future.
Tribute act player makes no attempt to play the ball, he is in the process of throwing himself to the ground, the Celtic player wins the ball, in the process of winning the ball the diving tribute act player makes minimal contact with the Celtic players foot. Yellow card for simulation, hang on we have got a chance to get the tribute act back into the game here. PENTAV.
The referee was never going to stand by his decision after being instructed to go to the monitor. Especially at Ibrox against Celtic. The reaction would’ve been frightening had he not awarded the penalty.
What about him diving before the contact…. What about the contact on the ball…. What about Vickers getting the loose ball… Wheres the accent Dermot? Fanny…..
02:30 AJ clears the ball , Silva runs into his leg. It wasnt a penalty. Celtic have asked the SFA why VAR didnt show this to beaton at the time because all they showed was AJ hiting Silvas leg. another honest mistake that leads to a goal for Rangers.
They are talking as if its basketball ffs. Its footbal its a contact sport and if you win the ball first then graze the that player after you win the ball thats not a foul. We need to get rid of var asap in scotland cos its going to end up a non contact sport and defenders wont be able to tackle even if they win the ball first then take the man its a penalty. If that was a penalty im a black man
@@Jean428 I have watched it. He has kicked the ball. His leg follows through after he kicks it. Like every time a player kicks a ball. Silva runs into AJs leg in the follow through after kicking the ball. His leg didn’t change direction. It stayed on its natural trajectory going straight up
@@roryd1888 watch the clip again but slow it down, his leg moves forward when he kicks the ball and once this motion completes his leg starts to move back - but once he realises that Silva will get to the ball his leg THEN lurches forward again to kick Silva
How could Beaton miss the foil on the Celtic player when he was no more than 3 meters away from it and its clear to see where his bias is towards sevco 🍀🇮🇪🇯🇵
Beaton was correct with his first decision on the Silva penalty claim. Silva was already going down before any contact from AJ. Why didn't VAR show Beaton the full sequence of events rather than use selective clips? The ref should be making the decision not VAR. The three yellow cards to Celtic players in the first half were an absolute joke and impacted on their game in the second half.
I've seen accidental hand balls resulting in penalties and automatically drawing a yellow card because a penalty was awarded - not because the handball was anything other than accidental and the player knowing nothing about til it happened. YET, not all fouls resulting in penalties are a yellow card🤔 bizarre!!
After the ref has his opinion,,the opinion of next two is infantile!!! Ridiculous! First guy says the guy is expecting contact, so he decides to take a position like you would see in a Chas & Dave dance routine, the other one says ,,he's trying to keep his elbow IN,,, Where on earth do they get them from!!!
wtf are they on about??? U can clearly see he was moving his elbow towards the ball, penalty all day long. Those idiots need new prescription glasses. Johnson and Silva, his hands were nowhere near his face, that was not a yellow card. Rangers will be happy they have a new diver/play actor in their ranks.
Silva was a disgrace for the whole game diving and feigning injury a very unlikeable player but Johnstone has gpt away with criticism for the penalty imo. He was very naive and there was no need to make any contact with Silva who was going down anyway whether he was touched or not. I was listening to commentary where Cris Sutton was saying never a penalty but i knew as soon as i saw the first replay that it was a penalty. You have to be extra careful with divers like Silva and Johnstone was stupid to do what he did.
Sums up the history of Great Britain. English Anglo Saxon Presbyterians in the south supporting other Scottish Anglo-Saxon Presbyterians in the north with ridiculous inference of the facts & laughable interpretations of the law as they apply to the Scots-Irish Gaelic people, and a resident soup-taker with an Irish name to give a fig leaf of credibility. However, they make a couple of reasonable points so that they don't look completely insane. Textbook orange lodge handbook on media training. You do have to laugh at Sky Sports - they can never just be reasonable & decent people, and it is the same biased garbage time & time again yet they never give up trying to brainwash you!
I take it yous all think Sky are infested with Rangers bias and Masonic members? 😂 It was a pen. He tackled above the knee. Move on. Both pens were soft but awarded in line with the rules.
All you wallopers in here saying Johnston won the ball. He didn’t. Yea, the ball clips the top of his foot but goes past him. That is not winning the ball. Jesus Christ, can you lot just never say ‘yeah, we deserved to lose that pen’ Johnston is rash inside the box here and silva knows it and takes full advantage of it. Johnston as well ducks his head to allow Rangers third goal and McGregor did well for Rangers as well when he came on. Victims of your own doing. Stop blaming everyone else.
@@celt6788 you’re the one crying about a clear pen….. the only ones raging are you lot 😂 why would I be raging? We got a pen and scored it 😂😂😂 what a walloper 😂😂
Dermot is dumb. You cannot retrospectively give a yellow card with VAR unless it's a reckless tackle. Which it clearly isnt. Also, double jeopardy rule, you can't give a pen and issue a sending off or a yellow. Everything has been downgraded in that aspect. Again also, Johnston wins the ball and Carter Vickers is covering and will win the ball back. It's not a pen. The VAR monitor also cut out the segment of Johnston winning the ball. If Celtic win this league it'll be so fucking sweet after these fucking refs hijacking the league
