Loving that special tool to remove that wheel bearing. I want one

Definitely a really useful tool. Especially when removing wheel hubs and wheel bearings on the car since you don't always have a ton of room to work with.

Great Video! I'm struggling with removing the upper and lower ball joints. What size sockets are you using @ 9:45? Can't make out what you're using to push the bearing through, that definitely looks like a socket used to catch the ball joint. Thanks in Advance.

It's a purpose built tool for the job. I bought this tool kit from Amazon for less than $75.

Was there a reason you didn't burn out the trailing arm busing and hammered it out like the subframe bushings ?

Great vid! I have an '01 330ci and I'm pretty sure my RTABs are shot (lots of bucking over mid-corner bumps, plus sudden rear wheel steer). Looking to replace all the bushes/balljoints at the rear. Does the trailing arm have to come out for this? And to the rear wheel bearings qualify as a "while I'm in there" replacement even if they aren't done yet? Thanks!

Thanks man. Yeah, it sounds like you may have worn trailing arm mount bushings, kind of a common issue really. You don't need to have the traling arm off the car to do this work.

Is the upper and lower control arm bushing the same?

Yes

Like Armando said, the upper and lower ball joints for the control arms are exactly the same. This is standard on the E36 M3, but can be done to any E36 non ti models as an upgrade. The ball joints I used are p/n 33306852895.

E36 has different models the 316i does not get shown by anyone damn useless!!

The 316i is not available in the United States. Furthermore, the 316i uses the exact same trailing arm setup (all E36's do with the exception of the ti models) so I don't understand how this video is "useless" when the suspension design is exactly the same.
