While I would normally cringe at what you are doing, and others have said pretty much the same, I can see your point here, salvaging a tool that would otherwise be junk and unusable is NOT the same as ruining a good tool! I enjoyed the video and would like to see other tools saved from the junk pile!

I clearly should have made that point more clear in the video. Glad you enjoyed!
This helped my replace my crystal. It's so much easier than discussions led me to believe. Pop the ring off, pull the white o-ring and the crystal comes right out. No need to bend the new one - it just fell into place.
May I suggest when taking fingers from any dial cover the dial with plastic to avoid scratching also you can buy a watchmakers tool to release the fingers ....great job though enjoyed it
there is SERIUM powder to polish the acrylic watch crystals, is what I use, before I was combining ashes with liquid soap in equal quantity, ONE DROP of it on a cotton cloth and polish. great video AAAAA+++++
Machinist tools always fascinate me. Well done!! What camera are you using?

I've been using more more machinst tools in my woodworking, I love them. The camera is an Sony alpha a6300. Works great but to film 4k it needs external batteries and it over heats after a while.
I gotta say it. Bravo to you. Keep up the good work. I loved the innovation. My favorite part has gotta be the hammer and anvil trick to calibrate tool. Seriously not joking or being sarcastic. That was awesome. Hit the like guys. I wanna see more cool shit. 😂
How did you end up getting that small spring back on between thr two gears. I've been fighting getting it lined back up. Is their some type of trick? Thanks
Well, after that I thought you should have posted an hour long video reviewing all the existing toothpastes in a scientific manner... How do I know what to use in my case?! :p Nice video though! I had no trust but you've saved this tool! Well done! 👍
A vernier is only acurate to 0.001, that level of accuracy can easily be achived with a file or stone. At the biggening of my video I also explained that this video was an extream mesure to fix a tool that would otherwise be thrown away. But thank you for your constructive criticism!
