Refurbishing my old early bay 3 piece front bumper. I have 3 of these. Let's pick out the best one and try to bring it back to life. A bit of straightening, a bit of pounding, grinding and paint.
For moment I thought you were on the tug. Until you said Furnace room. I forgot you had that two car garage. Great job once again. How about calling your new work area " Trim Clad Garage "
@@pstreetgarage7304 looks amazing. You under estimated yourself and your welding skills are excellent. I have a few other priorities on the bus before I mess with bumper but eventually I will get to it. I just realized my tie rods were way out of center so I need to redo that. I don’t know what to do so I’m gonna do my best to center the steering arm and go from there. 😆
@@SanDiego_VDubLife Thank you for that, I appreciate it. There are a few vids on aligning your front wheels. You can do it with a string wrapped around all four wheels. The way my front tires were worn I'd say my front end is out of alignment pretty bad.
You always make me want to go outside and play 😊 i found a mustang 2 front suspension for the comet, waiting to see if he excepts my offer. If so its going to be a road trip Saturday 😁 fingers crossed
Thanks Al !! Never tried POR. It's over 80 dollars a quart here in rip off land. But I have seen it. It's amazing. Probably would have bit the bullet and done the bumpers with it. If it came in white.
@pstreetgarage7304 Wow, that's pretty expensive but I think the time saved dealing with chemical strippers plus the fumes and clean up is worth it. I would consider it for smaller parts as it will drastically speed up the resto for you.
@@ROXSTARCorvette4371 No still way to early for that. Still cold and this morning the salt trucks were out in full force. I don't even like the Vette to be in the rain lol. I just bought a kit to overhaul the pop up headlights so hoping to get that done in the spring.
Thank you Sir ! Just ordered a spot weld cutting set. Going to remove my floor and replace the top hats and cross members. Got all the parts coming. Thanks for your guidance. I am learning alot from your content.
