Part 2: Refurbishment of Delphi Ford Transit DI Injectors, Subscribe and Comment “winner” to be put in a draw to win a free fully refurbished Transit TDDI injector
Excellent job, I had a go at refurbishing mine a few months ago. Got them working better but, they weren't as good as yours. I think after watching this, I'll have to give it another go. Cheers and all the best from Cornwall.
This is just what I need to know, my ford transit had a blocked injector and this video help me to get back on the road. Thank you from Tasmania Australia. Can you supply a full list of all the parts in the injector, eg: shim on the top of the spring to adjust the run pressure, the injector seal washer, is there a screen filter insert in the top of the injector also?. what about the two seal washers for the return bleeder tube as well. Can you also suggest where to get these parts from here in Australia. Regards Eric
Thankyou for your full and very informative video,do you know of the process is the same for the later 59 plate engine, failed mot on emissions again so I'm leaning towards injectors as not as easy to start once its warmed up,this is after the fun of doing two rear hub seals 😢😂 the fun certainly continues
These injectors aren't checked on a benchmark.. They runs, but not optimal.. The test on a special bench, create a C2I code, written on a ring around the head.. That needs to be written in the engine processor to make it run better..
Thank you for you feedback , this video is ‘how to refurbish injectors’ and not ‘how to bench test injectors’ and what your saying is not true . These are bench tested but not in this video, Mechanical injectors that can be adjusted within the software , they run on a mechanical fuel pump
@@Rustleinthebushes OK... I have refurbished my injectors common-rail delphi, but not checked them on bench.. So there is excessive backflow and consumption, who make a default "leak of pressure" at full power... Thank's for your answer..
Where did the little washer go you said not to reuse. I didn't see u re fit a new one. I put some good diesel out out a dirty barrel and got oil substance coming from injector rubber. Am I best changing the rubber seals or going full on injector clean. I'm not a mechanic nor do I have a sonic machine u cleaned them with
Hi Patrick Thank you for the positive feedback . I replaced the washers with steel washers and I purchased from Peugeot , call them and ask for steel HDI injector washers, cheaper than fords
Yes I did and got them from peps auto parts for around $20 per injector. You get the seating seal for the injector and also both seal washers for the return line fitting as well.
Hi and thank you for the comment , as far as I’m aware they are the same injectors , marked up different as one is for transit and one is mondeo but interchangeable.
Afternoon thank you for your kind comment I use carbusonic EB24R on Amazon , it’s £15 for 1 litre but you add it to 10litre of water , It’s good for engine parts and aluminium safe too
