MashaAllah! This was a profound lecture 😊! May Allah bless the Ustadh for his work and give him much Barakah in it, Ameen 🤲🏾! A phenomenal breakdown of the theory and how it fails to measure up to our Islamic tradition - as with all human ideologies as well-intended as they could appear to be. I especially agreed on his point about the punishment for both the “oppressed” and the “oppressor” - the “oppressor” will get punished for their bad deeds yes, but the oppressed will also get punished for attempting and sometimes replicating the same oppression for the sake of “justice” and “equality”. Being African-American myself, I believe this is vital for my community to understand. We must remember and believe in Allah’s (SWT) Qadr - both good and bad. Everything that we encounter and endure in this life has been preordained and has Hikmah in it. InshaAllah, I believe if many people in my community remembered and accept this, then we could obtained TRUE success, InshaAllah.

Abdullah you truly have some of the highest quality work out there. I know a lot of effort goes into all of your work and I want you to know that it is greatly appreciated. At the end of it all there is a large reward waiting for you with Allah (if the intentions are pure). May your content live on and benefit many Muslims/non-Muslims for ages to come.

I can vouch for the claim that touching unfamiliar hair is purely out of curiosity. I'm black, so when I first came in close contact with someone with a different grade of hair than mine as a kid, I was so interested in it that I did try to touch it. It's okay to be interested in our differences, we just need to understand to respect people's personal space when doing so.

That's for sure and even if people touch other hair while disrespecting their personal space it can't be called racism.its bad but not really racism.

As salamu alaykum, I know a few years back you had a exchange with Professor Shareef Muhammad concerning CRT etc, he is surprised to hear you are still speaking on this subject seeing that you failed to respond to his last article directed to you. Are you aware that Shareef and Attorney Hakeem Muhammad esq have a book on the subject of systemic racism entitled "The Muslims guide for Understanding Structural racism and its impact on Black America"?

Wa alaikum salam, his article failed to point out how anything i said was inaccurate. His opinion of my knowledge of CRT is irrelevant.

Anyway from my humble view Shareeef Muhmmad did exactly what you are now claiming he didn't do ... show how your points were incorrect.
@cledwards

This is a post directly from Professor Shareef "The online community disagrees. It's easy to claim I didn't prove that what he said wasn't accurate without addressing anything in the articles. The fact is I quote verbatim from his articles and videos and then follow with a refutation of his own words. If you read his articles then mine it is clear that he didn't provide a single statement from critical race theorists that sibstantiate his claims that CRT is born of the Frankfurt School of Critical Studies or that it is postmodernism or Marxist. In the second article I point out where he admits as much thereby contradicting himself from his first to his second piece."

Following this set of lectures and benefiting from new knowledge, may Allah reward you. Ameen. I really love your comprehensive destruction of the secular belief systems. I do however have a contention on this subject: Critical race theory suggests the idea of institutional racism, where there is an underlying tone of racial bias throughout institutions. Are you denying this is the case? I know it's anecdotal but i have experienced racial bias where the persons doing it are unaware they were inconsistent on how they apply the law but there was no other explanation. A good example of this is the banning of the hijab / abaya in france. Whats the difference between CRTs explanation and Islam's explanation for this?

My name is Shareef Muhammad and I'm the one who popularized the term in a series of article refuting Mr. Andalusi's characterization of CRT in particular and the black American protest movement in general. He did not respond to my second article years back but is here repeating the same stale, debunked arguments here. I wrote a book entitled The Muslim Guide to Understanding Structural Racism in which I lay out all of the data on race in America along the history and tenets of critical race theory (CRT). In short Andalusi's association of CRT with Marxism and postmodernism are dogwhistles that born of right-wing propaganda and have no basis in fact. Since CRT is clearly integral to his work it would be beneficial to have an open discussion.

@@AbdullahalAndalusiI dunno. I'm almost two hours in at the beginning of the q&a and the neo Marxist assessment of racism with all of its conspiracy theories still sounds very accurate to me because you can just see it in real life in parts of the US.
@jawaadshahid
@jawaadshahid 10 месяцев назад
@@_zaaphiel there is a problem with unfalsifiable suspicion and conspiracy theory in the foundations of CRT that have no foundations. The islamic concept of asabiya makes more sense because it doesn't favour 1 party just because they're the minority but rather the merit of any given scenario. i.e. its entirely possible a minority like a black person CAN discriminate against an individual of the majority like a white person. Whereas a person who prescribes to CRT will dogmatically deny this. So Islam's views on this makes more sense and leads to a healthier society if dealt with as per the prescribed solutions.
@_zaaphiel
@_zaaphiel 10 месяцев назад
@naushad5139 I mean I think the assessment of systemic racism and the inability of the white majority to ever not be racist is just an accurate assessment of american society. The underlying beliefs and conclusions marxists hold have clear issues, but I think this view on society can be known just be observation without any need for the pre-requisite of a Marxist world view. That's probably why Americans seem to fall to Marxism so easily. It just aligns with what they see in real life.
