Reggie Miller's Comments On Caitlin Clark Turned Major Heads

If they wanted the 12 best players on the team, why was taurasi selected when she is putting up less than stellar numbers this year. There are several ladies doing much better than her this season including CC. And two women selected haven't played in a game this year. So, in choosing the best 12 the committee selected at least 3 players doing worse than Clark. The committee did not choose the 12 best players. Trying to tell logical people that Clark was left off to get the best players on the team is nothing more than gaslighting and lies.

This is unique situation where one person is bigger than the actual brand itself, but the committee and coaches can hide behind the USA basketball brand and say it's not about "growing the game or marketing" and it's solely about winning.

if it is the women’s olympic team, disqualify the man and there would be an open spot for Caitlin. Pretty simple really.

No, they did it because the guy was college basketball and it made logical sense to have 2 time NCAA champion coming into the NBA on the roster because it would get fans excited for fresh faces. Also you wanna know who was drafted in number 1 in 2004 and play on the 2004 usa Olympic team...diana taurasi. So, it wouldnt be the first time they picked a rookie with a bright future over a vet

I think that Caitlin should not accept a position on the team this year after being snubbed. The team is not very welcoming to a white player.

I want to share a story about Reggie that will show you a bit about Reggie and his sense of humor and humility. I worked at the Mirage Hotel, and one day a woman dealer that usually dealt craps with me was dealing Blackjack and Reggie sat down and was playing on her game. Making small talk she asked him where he was from and he said "California, but I live in Indiana now." She asked "Why would you move to Indiana?" He told her his job took him there. Now, gets a feeling and asks him " Are you somebody famous?" He responded "No, but my SISTER is in the basketball hall of fame." Then, he confessed he was Reggie. How funny is that? I died laughing when she came in the break room and told the story.

I hope someday Catlin Clark gets her chance. Throughout history, teams like this are political. There's alot of money involved nowadays. Reggie and Chery Miller are two people whose opinion means something and two people I respece weather I agree or disagree with them. I would like to see her on the team, but it isn't my decision.
