This is one of the most powerful scenes in OUAT. Regina is finally facing up to the cold reality of what she did, and how bad it was. There's been a certain amount of denial up until now, but here Lana really acts and shows that Regina knows. As Regina says, she could escape the pain by reverting to her old self, it would be easy and all it would cost her is everything, if she refuses she has to live with the fact that she _was_ the EQ. The children and the blind witch. The burned villages. The Huntsman/Graham. The sleeping curse on Snow and her own son. Stealing Ariel's voice. Tinkerbell. Her father. On and on and on and on. 'Unspeakable things.' Then they took this _powerful_ scene and ruined it with the subsequent idiotic Jekyl/separate entities nonsense.
Lana is the best actor besides Bobby . Well as for Tink, Blue is more at fault than Regina . I think that the dark curse is the one which is her worst crime and the show seems to know it .
@@nirvairsingh6502 Sorry, no, that won't fly. Regina is the one who messed that up, Regina and Tink. Blue thought Regina was too far gone to help, too far into the dark, and Regina _proved her right_ . Further, Tink defied her queen's orders, and Tink's plan to help Regina really doesn't make any sense (she's _already married_ to Lepold, so it's kind of hard to see how meeting Robin would do any good at that point). Blue admitted later that she _might_ have been too harsh on Tink, but Tink committed some pretty extreme offenses, too.
They didn’t really ruin this with the Jekyll and Hyde thing lmao. That season was literally built up just so Regina can truly learn there’s no separation between her and the evil queen and to accept it as her past but also realize it’s her past and she’s developed and grown from it. I find it strange when people willfully ignore the MULTIPLE lines and even the fucking ending of that entire arc. It ultimately was a build up for what we’ve been asking for all along, Regina to accept the evil queen as who she was and stop this idea that it was a separate entity altogether.
This will forever be my favorite monologue in TV history. People always think being a great actor is being able to sob uncontrollably or scream in pain but these kinds of monologues where the actor can show pain just through their eyes without barely saying a word is the best acting I’ve ever seen.
This is definitely the best monologue of the show. Arguably the most powerful or at least most raw scene. I love Regina’s little grin at Emma’s unwavering belief in her. And then Emma’s sorta proud smile when Regina says she’d rather deal with the pain than see it inflicted on everyone else. And once again, the music!!! You can hear Regina’s sad theme and the EQ theme battling it out, the dissonance growing as the scene goes on. Ugh, this scene is truly flawless in every way.
Ann Sherwood - Rebecca Mader is the best of the two. Her expressions, her tears, her emotions, everything just flows through and to the surface. For Regina to cry, there's a lot of emotion involved and pain, but I don't see much of that on her face. Of course, not everyone is an open book, but . . . to fake it, Rebecca is the best.
+NoGoodDeed Goes Unpunished Well, Everyone prefers Lana to Bex. Lana was nominated to many award and teen choice and she won 3 award and one teen choice, meanwhile Bex wasn't neither nominated. Bex is a good actress, but Lana is THE actress. She is phenomenal
+Giulia Ornaghi - Oh? Two of those awards were Favorite Villain for OUAT. OUAT is a successful, widely known show. While Bex has been in a lot of television, it was a few episodes of each. Give her a main role in a popular show and Bex would win the same awards of "Outstanding" and "Best Actress." And why would you ever bring up nominations and winnings? It's not about that. Everything in Rebecca's acting is phenominally wow and genuine-like, in a way Lana can't beat. As a villain, Lana rocks it, but it's always the same kind of expression in different situations when Lana's character is hurt and crying. Bex has a wider range that fits those different situations. Anyway, "Lost" is a popular show and Bex won an award for that. The Gold Derby, I think. I don't pay attention to awards.

Plus if the show is popular it doesn't mean that the actors Could won the awards. The people and the critics choose them. Plus Lana received many positive critics about her acting. And Jen is the Protagonist but She lost every Award against Lana because people prefer her to Jen. Jen is a Good actress too. You prefer Bex, I prefer Lana ad many people

Lana changed her Voice When She is the Mayor, the Evil Queen and Young Regina. She plays different roles, bc She did Ursula (Season 3)and the Mag(Season 1) and She Used diffents postures. I felt bad for Regina especially after she read Robin's letter. Listening to her conversation with Emma I'm reminded of the type of person she was so I'm starting to understand why she continues to lose her happy ending. Regina has done some horrific things to so many people. She's destroyed countless lives through the years and she can't escape the consequences for her actions. I want Regina to be happy but right now it's not possible because she hasn't paid for all the things she's done. Yes, she's worked hard to change but it still can't excuse her past behavior. I'm starting to realize why she continues to suffer but I'm still holding out hope that eventually she will get her happy ending.
Yeah, but this doesn't mean that she have to suffer so much. She suffered enough for many years, when she was young, when she was the queen, and even during the 18 years of the curse when she hadn't had Henry. Rumple, Hook, Cora, Pan did the same things maybe not horrific as her but Rumple killed many people because of his deals.
Regina, Regina I can so relate to you. Cause this scene spoke to me, and I know what it is like to redeem yourself, and finally be happy. Only for the darkness to start closing in, and your happiness to be taken away. Then it feels like you want to go back to the darkness; only something else keeps pulling you towards the light. Like what happened to me; as I was in the same situation. But, like her I made some friends who helped me come back into the light. Friends who see the real me, and not who I use to be.
@@kayedits7313 no she felt bad about the fact that Henry wouldn't talk to her or that karma was hitting her. Never about the victims she made. Even when Emma brings Marian a victim Regina killed to their time . Regina gets mad because it is ruining her life
@@GoldenRose116 She literally did feel bad. That was what season 6 was about. Yes, she made the change because of Henry, but she still regretted her actions. She felt terrible about the person that she used to be. If you can’t see that, you probably just don’t like her.
This makes me almost not want to keep watching, ( i juat started the series) why is such a horrible character getting a redemption ark? Honestly i can't see myself ever feeling anything towards this character whos done so much evil
Hook was the blueprint of living with the past and making it up to those he hurt. Her even confessed his past sins. It’s not easy but he did the work. The writers could’ve done the same with Regina
