Cynthia Lennon was a loving capable woman

She was left behind on the train station when Lennon left for India with the guys to see the Yogi. That was the symbolic end of their relationship. He didn’t turn around to get her but kept going? I wouldn’t leave my wife behind on a trip. So he showed his true colors then towards her. She was way too kind and caring for him. He didn’t deserve her. He found someone else and left her and his only son. And look how that turned out. A bad outcome. RIP Cynthia Powell

He interviews and asks questions that are very male/man oriented

£19k for house then bought a mansion, as she said. In 1965, my parents were able to buy a big house for £15k. It cost £5k when built in 1905. Only tripled in £s in 60 years. Jump in 1969 (housing act), several other jumps till we sold it when Mum died in 2012 for over 1,000 times what Dad paid. A story of mad house price changes in relation to incomes and of mad widening of incomes between high and low paid.

Not understanding some comments. Why would she say that John and Julian repaired their relationship and were best of friends? Julian says differently. I find it interesting that she refers to herself as the oldest (true) at the time she was in college still (no Beatles yet, per se) and refers to them as children, students. Ringo is older than John, and her. So, that was honest because she is referring to the time before Ringo joined.

I do not feel any bit of sadness. I am happy for her. She is grateful, thankful in fact that she got famous, she got admirers, she got into magazine, she got interviews, she got to see what popularity meant, she got adored, she saw the beautiful side of things. She got married to a Beatle. She knew eventually John would go away. But she was, I believe, never got bitter. She was happy she had spot in the limelight, envied and cherised by fans. Luck girl you Cynthia.

“Could you have done more to keep the marriage”? These dumb questions. Cynthia wasn’t looked after, after divorce, and dealt with these questions very well.

Cynthia handled the interviewer and his rude, idiotic questions extremely well. What a jerk.

Crazy. Cynthia was a M U C H better artist than Yoko, and as well as a good and kind person, as opposed to Yoko being highly manipulative and downright cruel. I'm pretty old now, but I think that's one of the mysteries of life I'll never understand.

Later on she was more open to telling about his abuses, let’s go easy on the genius , Einstein was a genius, John was a talented song writer , however his you treat woman and your son is a different story , I liked his music when I was young. After I grew up looking back it was really dated and looks silly now , especially the bed ins those interviews, he sounded like a teenager, not an adult , normally I don’t care , but the way he treated people woman and men , and blamed everything on his childhood, humbug

Cynthia and Yoko were more similar than most people would care to admit. Lennon had a type.

Shortly before John Lennon was shot/murdered, Yoko Ono publicized John's/their daily schedule and routes. Former bodyguards (she removed bodyguard security) thought as such, she was reckless and created great danger. We can only speculate that she intended for John to be vulnerable to known threats... very likely for such a proven cold-hearted selfish woman that was having sex with other men behind a closed door to their bedroom. John Lennon was the ultimate lover; how else could a person write the lyrics he wrote. John was full of grace and mercy as he unconditionally loved Yoko Ono. John Lennon chose to be blind to her selfishness and allowed himself to be manipulated. His first wife was the ultimate wife. She never complained to the press about John Lennon. I guess that kind of wife was boring to John Lennon. With good marriage counselors and commitments to exercise recommendations, John Lennon could have restored his first marriage to a good woman before the divorce.
