It’s been 50 years since physical therapy services first came to Bates County, Missouri. In 1971, Max Ridings was a young physical therapist when he had the opportunity to contract physical therapy services at Bates County Memorial Hospital. A few decades later, he "passed the torch" to his son, Scott Ridings, PT. Over the years, Rehabilitation Services of BCMH expanded and now staffs about 17 members. Thanks to the legacy of this father and son, our community has benefited from access to physical, speech and occupational therapies. Bates County Memorial Hospital wishes Rehabilitation Services a very happy 50th anniversary!
