OMG Rehoboth!! Mr & Mrs I have to tell you, when I grew up in Philly in the late 60's early 70's all we had was AC. And back then, it was great. We couldn't stay overnight (family didn't have the money), and it was before the casino's and resorts. I always hated riding back to Philly with sand in every nook and cranny of my body. Then one day my Dad came home and spoke of a place that a buddy from work told him about, Rehoboth beach! We went when I was 16 and got to stay for Four (4) days! At a place called the Atlantic Sands Motel (I'm sure it's gone by now). But it was the best time that I ever had on vacay. I haven't been there since but I pass it on my way to OCMD but to see it again in your video brings back memories. And of course, Mom and Dad started arguing on day 3 and we had to leave early but still...🤣
I used to have a co-worker who goes here everytime she takes a vacation or a long weekend. She talks about how much she loves this place. Eventually, she retired and bought a place here and it wasn’t a surprise to all of us. That was 10 years ago. Now I get to see what she saw through your lens.
Since starting our vacations there in the 60's, we **LOVE** how some of the businesses never change their signage/ decor! (examples---Louie's (Home of the grinder), Gus and Gus place, etc.
Thanks for the video . My husband and i are going there tomorrow , we’re staying in Lewes and hoping to get to the beach by the boardwalk on Tuesday . Hopefully we can get parking if we arrive before noon. It’s been about 10 years since we visited . Love seeing all the stores and restaurants on the boardwalk .

Oh yes. I love off season. But been there every month of the year. Seems to be something going on atleast every weekend. Going in May this year I think.
Rehobeth is changing... they are putting up Hilton hotels and more tourists are coming and when they come, where do they go?? Not to the places the locals know of... god bless you though for going to Gus Place... that place has been since the 50s...
ANYONE remember the restaurant in front of midway water park that had the Indian statue on a horse?! I can’t remember the name but that was my childhood i believe it closed now!
I emailed Grotto Pizza to send us their pizza (via dry ice) , and willing to pay ANY price. (yes, I want it THAT badly! ) They've never replied to my emails...☹
Not much of a board. Parking in season is frustrating, just have to get lucky enough to see a vehicle back out. Not a far walk from sand to sea. Thrashers fries & Fisher’s popcorn the best. Like the ice cream with the many many flavors! Traffic by outlets crazy! Family members live in Rehoboth and summer they stay away from downtown Rehoboth. Nice restroom facilities in downtown area. Craft beers bars!
@@CindyYr11 theres paid parking for the people who are only staying at the condos but the people who aren’t staying at any hotel/condo they have to park on the street so there’s no parking but where I’m staying I park my car in a parking garage
