francis’ death was actually the most tragic thing i’ve ever watched. i cannot even imagine how much pain mary would be in when i go hours crying about it.

Mary and Francis are the couple that make me believe in love and redemption, they weren't perfect, at all, but they are the most perfect imperfect couple to exist. Yes this is 2020, yes still feel for them after all these years. Honestly, I have never come across a love story in all these years that makes me feel so much

Mary was a delight at French court. She and Francis married on April 24, 1558. When Henri II died of his joust injuries in July of the same year, Francis (15 yo) and Mary (16 yo) became King and Queen of France, and Francis was named King of Scotland. Their marriage, sadly, lasted only 2 years and 8 months, as Francis passed away from a brain abscess caused by an ear infection in December of 1560. Mary was said to have been “stricken by grief.” So, it’s likely they truly did love each other and that was probably the best two and a half years of her life. It’s said that she fell in love with her second husband, Lord Darnley, and had her only son by him, but never saw the child again after 10 months of age and her marriage to Darnley pretty much fell apart because he was an ambitious ass. I would love to believe that when Mary was beheaded, she woke up just as she did in Reign, next to Francis, the true love of her life.❤

Without francis the whole series looks so incomplete.. His death was the first time in the whole series to which I cried

I love the scene of their last dance together (at least I think it was their last dance). I love the fact that Mary talked him through it, giving him the strength till the end. What topped it off was hearing the melody of Stay With Me in the background, because that's all they ever asked of each other. I have many favorite moments and scenes throughout the series but that has to be my top favorite. The chemistry between them two is amazing. Francis was her one true love, and Mary his. (In Reignverse) How can anyone not agree with that?

The great love story of Mary and Francis. Even in death, they loved each other. Their kind of love shows that no matter what obstacles you go through, you can always work it out if you truly love someone.

Francis has the best lines. "I don't love you because I want a baby, I want a baby because I love you".

Their love story should've been so simple, and sweet, but it got so complicated, and ended so tragically

my favorite thing about their love story is that it was written so well and the actors did such a good job of portraying the characters love for each other that even after they fell in love and got married i still wanted to see where their relationship would go it didn't lose chemistry throughout the whole entire show.

Though the writers didn't give us enough joyful times with Francis and Mary on earth, I will always remember that ending in heaven! It makes me cry no matter how many times I watch it. Loving together with none of the burdens or responsibilities of royalty-just a boy and a girl as they had wished for when they were teens! 💗

Just watched this on Netflix. What a love story this was. I didn't have the heart to continue till the end after Francis died. Maybe one day I will. But as much as Mary was the body and soul of this show, it always felt like Francis was its heart, and once he was gone, the heart seemed to go out of it. This is a great video. Thanks so much for leaving out the bad parts.

I finished watching 3x05 yesterday, crying my heart out. I can't bring myself to continue Reign now that Francis died. Their love was so beautiful and painful. I will never forget them.

I sadly can't remember her name but the actress who played Mary will forever be an amazing woman of her craft, the emotion she displays throughout the show will always be my favorite quality of hers. Her screams when she rips down the French and English flags in the throne room are so raw and real, they give me goosebumps every time!

you know that dance was practically killing him where he stood, but he did it because he loves her and it shows when he looked at her, at her side, etc. i can’t ever get over how it ended... when she says “fight for us, francis, please.” you can see the desperation in both their faces, but he’s already fading away and they can’t stop it from happening. she knows he’s doing to die, but she doesn’t want to face the undeniable truth, and he won’t let himself either, not until the end... he fights with everything in him until the very end when life just leaves him in a single breath. “we were meant to be happy, and we were... but i have another fate. such beauty you have brought me, you must love again.”-he said this because he wanted someone else to experience her love. “i pray to God that you do.”-and this was for her. the heartbreak is shattering and i’ll never stop loving their story & then her’s after him. she never got over him, as she knew she wouldn’t, and it shows until the very last moment when she dies and meets him in death. he made a sword for her so she wouldn’t feel weak when he left her... it’s truly a masterpiece. i applaud the writer/screenplay writer and director for showing us something we’ll never forget. & thank you to the person who made this compilation, it’s lovely in every sense of the word. if anyone asks me for a physical and emotional rollercoaster, i’ll be sure to show them this so they understand that historical drama’s aren’t as shallow as they’re believed to be.

I started to watch this show because of them, after he died I felt like there was no point for the show. They are the meaning of Love. They are beyond what I’ve always wanted.

I loved them together. But Francis' love for Mary was just on another level. His love for her was pure, passionate, loyal, tender, unconditional, patient. I wish to one day find a man to love me the way Francis loved Mary. I had to stop watching once he died for a bit. Have been watching half-assed since, but I was happy to see the final scene. Their love was eternal. It transcended life and even death. My heart hurts!

Mary and Francis is that couple that makes me believe in the true love. I have watched a really much different series ,but Reign makes me cry the most. Honestly I really don't know what Mary feels ,because I feel pain. 10:25 the fact that Katherine had always been against Mary and Francis' relationship yet she still chose to let them be together because she knew that they loved each other and the pull was to strong to not be acknowledged. And she trusted Mary although she knew that it may cost Francis' life.

Francis is beautiful. I know he’s a king but he looks like a Disney prince. I wish to see more of this actor in other films/shows. Such a gorgeous man. 😍

I have seen many comments that are negative towards Mary (not here though) and I would want them to think through that, because Mary went through so much pain. 1. She lost her dad when she was 6-days-old, and had a target on her back ever since then. 2. She went to France when she was 6-years-old, and didn’t return home because of England. 3. When she comes back to the castle in France she thought Francis didn’t want to marry her or loved her. (Obviously he did love and they got married) 4. People have tried to kill her multiple times. (mostly the English) 5. She was almost raped. 6. She found out that she might be the cause of Francis’s death if they got married. 7. She almost married an abusive man, because she wanted to spare Francis’s life. 8. She lost so many of her best friends. 9. They had a hard time getting pregnant. (And on top of that she found out that one of her best friends were having her husbands baby) 10. When she finally became pregnant she lost the baby. 11. Later on she watched Francis (her husband) leave a lot too go to fight, not sure if he would come back. 12. Then she was raped, and couldn’t bare to be touched. 13. After she finally let Francis hold, kiss and touch her again she lost him. 14. She lost Francis. (Basically what I wrote on number 13) 15. She then went trough a hard time alone. ( yes I know there were others there too who comforted her, but you get the point) 16. She then re-married a man she didn’t love, for the sake of her country. (And yes I also know she did that to get England, but to survive she had to become Queen of both England and Scotland) 17. Her soon-to-be-husband tried to get control over her country. 18. She became pregnant (not the bad part) but her husband took the child away and kept it away from her I think. 19. After many years she was scenteds to death, and her son (when I say many years I mean many years) didn’t try to save her. 20. Then they killed her. And yes I know she got reunited with Francis in heaven but really, she went through so much pain and loss, and then others hate her I can’t understand that. (Yes everyone has their opinion on a person)

They both went through so much hell together and apart. But when they francias died...I cried and cried. All the wanted to do was to make her happy and protect his peopl, he didn't mean to get her hurt. But when they got back together, I was so happy. BUT THEN HE DIES BROO 😭. This show has so much emotion, love and pain in it. If I were to die and had to pick a show to watch, I'd without hesitation would choose this one. May francias and Mary forever be in love

i have never been able to find another show like this one i was so sad when francis died and i wasn't a big fan of the show afterwards but there are no others that even come close to this

THIS IS WAY TOO SAD. Happy tears at the end only because I hadn't fully watched the show, and I didn't know they ended up together after death. After season 3 couldn't watch it, it was this ship that made the show for me, and haven't watched anything about this show for a year or a little less and man, it hit HARD. Thank you for making this, and reminding me of one of my favourite ships.
