It would be funny if I was the one who commented to let you know that tap-tempo bypass has already been done before. Like I knew about it but just didn't tell you.
just got my Weird v2 in the mail yesterday - as it happens I was on my way to a session - and it made it onto a guitar part for a record that I am finishing very soon! We all agreed - it was "Weird" haha. Thanks very much 🙌🤟🤟👾
Great ideas, I love your outside take on pedal things. Here's an idea: take your 3 way bypass on its own and make it an A-B splitter, so it flips from A to B outputs. and when nothing is at B output, it acts like a mute/stutter/tap tempo mute.
We are witnessing the dawn of trippy analogue enlightenment....a major paradigm shift in the concept of brotherly love, technological boundaries, and sound wave manipulation.
I am indeed excited with you Simon. And even impressed. Your creativity and passion for it all (music/art/creation) are inspiring. Thank you for doing all you can to keep music moving forward
Actually, I am really impressed. So often, you exceed expectations. All are interesting, but what I thought I had the least amount of interest in, became the most interesting. The stutter phone V2.
Lastgasp came out with a ‘Flikrr’ random tremolo that mimics that candle flicker randomness, but that’s the only thing I can think of. so many truly new and exciting ideas here. I love it
Super interesting bypass switch extensions. Would love to see a delay pedal that you can "momentary on" to sample into, let go and the trails keep going but your input doesn't go through the circuit... Edit: OH SHIT. The stutterphone being able to reverse between silencing and letting sounds thru is exactly what I was trying to build with a friend a while ago and failed. SO COOL.
I'm interested in that knitwear you have, over the top of your hoodie Not even Hainbach can beat that. There needs to be a pedal called the jumper/sweater for people with meddle with! 😉🤘😂
Just ended up on your channel but these pedals really seem to have a lot of hearth in them. Flicker truly caught my interest! What a lovely idea! For one or another reason they really make me curious how they would feel on my Crave or Streichfett
Wow, these are all so cool! Innovative and original, yet also incredibly musical. Very impressive! I especially love the Bubbles V2 and Stutterphone V2. 😙👌 I'd throw my hat into the ring to demo some of these, but I only have 4k subscribers and you probably want a wider reach than that. 🤔 You should ask 'Do Noise'! He has over 10k subs, and I bet he'd be more than willing to feature these awesome creations when you're ready. All the best, mate. And congrats on these new releases! 👏
Your a mad genius and I’m here for it, the new tap tempo bypass is great and I can see myself using it quite a bit. I think eventually I will own all of these, there not even that expensive especially considering that your a “mom and pop” shop. It might take me a very long while though because unfortunately I’m a poor poor man
Hey Simon!! You know your little weird looking keyboard that you use, that isn't made anymore. (Which you said was a real shame, The Yellow Synthesizer Septavox) Have you ever thought about creating your own very unique keyboard, based very loosely on the Septavox, to which you can plug all your pedals in, making it the most AMAZING synth ever created?? Loving your work. Happy New Year.
I'm very impressed. With the bubbles I'd like to have a function in which one delay ramps up to the next one. As if it was replicating me turning the delay time knob on the sequencer up (or down) to where the next knob is set on the sequencer. So the delays and pitch are speeding up and slowing down. If that is possible, then bubbles will be my favourite delay pedal.
❤this. Must get Bit Pirate asap! :) Can you say if these switches remember on/off between runs Simon? The one thing that matters about bypass switches for my rig, due to having pedals in drawers in a big switcher, is that they *remember on/off between runs*. Otherwise there is a "start up ritual" (open drawers D, G, H, turn on pedals 20, 45, 63, etc...)
They are not for me, but I love the crazy things you come up with. That tap tempo bypass idea is great. Maybe it can evolve into a rhythmical A/B switch pedal? E.g. 8 switches for selecting A or B and a 4051 that scans them to create a rhythm.
Hey, I got one for ya. Did you hear about Ryker the retired Bel Air hitman posing as a piano tuner 'cause he couldn't get a regular job ? A lady lost her wedding ring in her grand piano, she called Ryker to repair it, needless to say he made a mess of it, there were piano keys and springs absolutely everywhere, from Sunset Boulevard to pieces floating in the Bel Air ocean, even Stevie Wonder was tripping over springs and hammers, Clint Eastwood got his leg tangled in piano wire too, they even found the pedals on Jack Benny's roof. Ryker has took Eastwoods rifle and is on the run.
I would have bought a Stutterphone but it's out of stock. I love (trying) anything which can synch to a clock signal. Incidentally, when I was building a guitar with a kills witch, I learned that it is better to use a switch to short out the signal rather than a switch which cuts it because it eliminates the popping.
Wonderfully creative ideas! Excellent developments as well as the new pedals. Can't quite see them fitting my setup (mostly synths, and mostly stereo), but they certainly appeal otherwise. Any plans for any (true) stereo effects? True stereo effects are surprisingly few and far between (with many stereo effects summing to mono).
man that stutterphone pedal is really a feat of madness , soooo many quirky options ... it looks like a fantasy drawing of an imaginary pedal in the school book of a bored high school stoner . Sooo cool . Congrats on making it real ! all the pedals are awesome !
@emilyharpist I feel like the Magpie is calling you and Russ out here with that Weird pedal. I could be wrong, it could easily be any of them :P These are so amazing!
How's it going Simon, sorry to bother you with this dumb question and so long after upload but I just took a look at your store and your prices on the pedals, am I reading these right? 200,000 SEK? My conversion says that's almost $20,000 US, there's no way that's right. I want to be clear, I have the utmost respect for you and your work, but that's enough to buy a car. Even the Klon Centaur guitar pedal isn't that much 😅. Now, I'm sure I'm reading these wrong as the formating on the site is a little strange for me and I'm severely sleep deprived so I'm hoping you might be able to clear this up. Thank you for the work you do btw, and if the pedals are less I will definitely be buying one soon. EDIT: I just took another look and decided maybe the comma is taking place of a decimal point, so the last 2 zeros are the decimal. Converted that's a much more reasonable ~ $200. Can you or anyone else confirm that that's accurate? If so, they're handmade by you. They're underpriced my friend 😅. Not $18,000 underpriced, but you could get away with more
