Is it really necessary to weld the tubes being that you welded the truss across the tubes and pumpkin? Do I need to pull the diff, gasket and cover too? Will the diff or gasket be damaged if I leave it loaded?
Yo Alex can you please reply to this comment if you have time, I need some insight On these Lincoln’s, when you throw 13s on them, the drivetrain gets very unhappy, transmission starts shifting pretty rough. Would this be something I can fix by regearing the diff? Kind of like off-road vehicles with big wheels except smaller gear ratio? I can’t find anything about this online Thanks
the flat face pieces should be dimple died and have a small piece of tub attaching the flat faces (2 should be fine) also reduce the center point on the pumpkin to be more rounded and flush with the lowest part of the pumpkin.
Dimple die 3/16s material?? This isn't thin stuff and rounded the center would take away from the traditional lowrider look. This isn't a rock crawler or offroad vehicle. Same concept but different style.
