Yeah rein shouldn't be played in metal, takes teamwork and coordination, that's the biggest issue with him tbh, people are like aww wdym he's playable if your team plays this this and this and does this this and this, yet there's how many other tanks where you can just play and don't need a pick set specifically to keep you alive or even be able to catch up to anyone to hit them, hope they implement his bap wall shield or something to imcentivise people actually playing behind him and backing him up, just something, anything, he's stale and gets rolled by basically anything

@@PezzaHando i genuinely hate how many people play rein in metal ranks. He’s only good for ult combos that hardly happen.

Balance is an illusion. Asymmetrical game. I think they need to lean into the asymmetry with a Pick-hero-pool(2/3) and one ban for the opposite team.

@@josephreynolds2401 6v6 with hero bans and double shield balance is still in my opinion the best version of ow possible

@@coldshock5181 That's fair AND i agree. 6v6 isn't coming back soon tho so I suggest buckling up. The hero pool would solve the issue of counterswapping if you could only play 2 hero's per match. And a draft phase inherently engages people with the game before the match starts instead of a short wait in the spawn room. No more last minute pickers ruining a carefully constructed comp, giving up space for the first fight for no reason.

@@josephreynolds2401 Idk OW has been making radical changes so I think if this tank update doesn't work at least looking at 6v6 should be something they are doing. The switch to 5v5 was in my opinion a change to make Ow2 different than Ow1, unnecessary.

... Honestly? Yes. Especially more so when you have an amazing team of supports that keep you alive, and dps that peel the enemy, that they have to go Mauga, Sombra and Bast, and still lose, or at the very least, give them a harder time to defeat you. Even losing, those defeats taste like sweetrolls

A good Rein player will not allow some1 to break his shield. 1hp shield minimum is required in any case szenario. I rather think he should move at 100% movementspeed when holding a shield. Yes thats a huge buff and abolutly needed as well.

@IsaiahNeal-pg6kh it'd definitely be good, maybe it could cap at a certain amount of shields, but I think it'd be balanced since he's trading barrier health for a safer charge

They just need to remove the slowdown while he shields. IMO that's all he needs, would be a massive buff. It's not needed at all in 5v5 when all the new tanks are 'do everything' tanks.

@Klyttorius That could work too, I think the Shield on conversion on pin would be a Shiney new toy, but I think your idea works too. Ultimately I believe he just needs a way to trade some of his defensive power for offensive power without making it broken, so I thought to make him be able to use his resource (his barrier) as a trade off for better aggression

He's literally good until masters and then he becomes kinda meh and then at GM rein kinda bad. Anyone who complains about rein being bad below masters just sucks at rein tho.
