(They even rooted him on) while they recorded the whole thing so they could watch it, share it, put it out pubicly (RU-vid, Instagram... Facebook just to name very few) just to shame him further.. Shit, rooting for him to make an ass of himself while they were recording it so they could laugh at him for weeks to come. I can tell you those weren't his friends at all - friends keep you from doing dumb shit like this.

He was hoping she would say yes but he should've been expecting her to say no even if she would have said yes but in this generation it's more brutal than before.. If I ever ask anyone to prom I'm doing it in private because for one I'm a very private person and second because if I do get rejected I don't have to worry about being publicly humiliated

It is never a good idea to do this way of asking someone to the prom, unless you and that other person are already in a relationship. I know from personal experience(seeing this happen to friends, I never asked anybody to a dance). Just do this in private or when you both are in a small group(friends). Good advice from me Dovahkiin:)
