I just finished Earthbound for the third time recently, I know many people won't see this, but I just want to share why this game has one of the best soundtracks out there. Many of the music tracks in Earthbound just sound so... human, they sound like something that a person put love, care, and happiness into. That's what make them so good, they just sound on a another level, they feel like you can relate to them down to your soul somehow, they feel like they are somehow cleansing your heart and clearing your mind. (which fits with the game's theme) This game in general just feels so touchy, and the music perfectly captures that. That is why it is one of my favourite games of all time.

I barely experiences earthbound at the age of 12, but through all my time of playing it, it has been the most emotional rollercoaster of my life nothing has made me feel as happy or sad as earthbound did, how the characters actually felt human, they laughed, they cried, they made mistakes, and although it was an snes game you could still feel as if the characters were actually conversating with you, and that you were the character, you felt ness's emotions. Personally nothing traumatic has happened in my life so far, but this game helped me release some of my emotions, as I suffer from depression, low self esteem, and ADHD which has ruined a lot of big parts in my life, but earthbound helped me find myself deep inside, it tought me that its okay to feel emotions, and that life is full of wonders, and that shouldnt stop me from experiencing them, and I hope everyone finds something for themselves in this masterpiece.

Mother 2 I played recently, and I gotta say. This game made me realise that there are games out there that can actually make you cry, while not making you a manchild or frustrated at a game. The game truly is something. I'm not even 20, and I gotta say. This game is just a fine work of art that I feel like most people can appreciate.

I love the fact that this is in chronological order. So I can experience the whole journey again while falling asleep. Just missing Magicant Version 2, The Heroes Return and the Sea of Eden a bit, loved those as well.

It is incredible what these composers could create with such limited sounds systems. You can feel such a wide range of tones, emotions, and ideas listening to these tracks here. And I have never even played this series!

actually it's a seashore! You can see the name of the instrument in the midi track. It makes sense too, since it plays at the end of his "Sea of Eden"

Loved these songs. Been playing it for ages and sometimes still whip it out to play again. My daughter practically grew up from the age of 2 in Earthbound environment. She loves it and plays it today as well. She's now 18 years old.

Man.., When the day comes Nintendo makes another EarthBound game, it’s gonna be surreal. It’s like actually astonishing Nintendo has all these old school IPs that everyone loves. But they only use the characters for smash lol. But I only have love for the brilliant creative minds of Nintendo, that built my childhood.

I can't really think of some parts of this game too much. I played it at the cusp of my childhood and it reminds me of the things I abandoned in growing up, and then I sometimes start to cry. That's why I love it, though.

@@bleh22 I do feel like some of them miss the mark and downright copy Earthbound to much. There was one that started out as a fan made idea-Mother 4 but then became it's own game. It's not released yet and I remember it being called 'Odyssey' or something like that. And it just looks like Earthbound but again for the most part. What makes Earthbound is just how much of a unique experience it is.

I think earthbound has a theme of Harmony in the chaos. There's an alien force on its way to destroy your planet and his minions are out to get you and YOU GOTTA GET ALL 8 SONGS BEFORE HE GETS HERE. But that's ok. just breathe, take a rest, walk around town. "xp, get to the next level, ness I love you 10000." the game let's you take it all in. it shows why the world needs to be saved, as weird as it is it's... beautiful

I have never actually played Earthbound, however, I did watch Chuggaaconroy play through this game and I gotta say, Earthbound is the greatest game I have never played. I've been listening to this soundtrack nearly daily while I go about whatever I am doing and it just continues to put me in a great headspace.

Which one? There's like 7 (technically 8 if you count Pokey means business) The intro, Pokey means business, Giygas Sitrs, Intimidation, Giygas is wounded, Prayer of safety, Mortally Wounded Giygas, and Giygas is disintegrating

I've been looking up way too much earthbound stuff. I was spoiled on the Giygas battle when I was WAY younger, it's such a beloved battle that there was no way I couldn't have been spoiled. But I don't know very much about the games other than the final bosses. I know the intro to earthbound, I've played a TINY bit of Mother 1, and I know there is a purple place called Magicant or something. And Lucas' brother dies. Also some characters like the Mr Saturns from Smash. But I'm just so reeled in by the world and presentation and music and I just wanna play it, but I'm in year 12 and homework is a bitch. I just need to actually sit down and play through all the mother games on an emulator or something. Anyway. I find Earthbound music really relaxing. Even the creepy Giygas shit is somehow relaxing in a morbid way.

I love how Hirokazu Tanaka used the Mother series to put a lot of his reggae influence into the soundtracks. Some of these songs could legitimately be played through a sound system and people will dance.

Sunrise and Onett Theme slaps.. Just recently downloaded an emulator to play Earthbound. First time too... Always wanted to get into this game before, but just never came around.. But, glad I did.. And yeah, call me a noob or whatever, but my introduction to anything Earthbound related was SSB64. Honestly never knew of the character before that.. I was 6 at the time.. Now 27 playing the game for the first time.

I had a friend who was in love with earthbound and the mother series me and her were alike in so many ways I once asked her out but got no answer we are still friends to this day but she never wants to be around me it feels like whenever I see her in public I’m a completely random stranger to her, I guess she was never truly my best friend :(
