I have two zebra doves incubating on my balcony right now. They didn't really do a good job picking the location for the nest. I was wondering if they need the sun from time-to-time, so I Would let the sun come in the morning and will block out the sun for the afternoon, but now I see your video. I know that I can leave the shade down for them. I am in Thailand. So it gets extremely hot here. Today is about day 5 of incubating. I cannot wait to see the baby birds.
I have a Zebra Dove incubating two eggs in a cactus garden on the rail of my 2nd-level deck. I can't believe the dove actually nested there, but I consider it a blessing. I hope the eggs hatch like your one did. I really enjoyed watching the video. Thank you for sharing it!
🌴 Aloha!~ K Cullen 🌈 I spent a lot of my time and effort to take this video. I was able to see when the Zebra Dove layed eggs, when they hatched, and when the baby birds made their first flight. I felt lots of happiness throughout the filming process. I hope yours would hatch successfully. May 2021 be prosperous. ^^ Mahalo for watching!! ^^ 🤙
What a beautiful video of the zebra dove's life. Where I live, on the island of Java, Indonesia, where the bird originates, no zebra dove wants to nest in residential areas. The zebra dove hunting here is very massive so that the zebra doves in the wild tend to stay away from people's homes.
🌈 Aloha!~ Sadly, the eggs didn't hatch and after a few days I buried them in the ground. 😭 I hope both eggs hatch and the baby birds grow up healthy and you get to see their first flight. Mahalo for watching!! ^^ 🤙
Great video man! Yeah those eggs never hatched I guarantee it. The reason for this is because once The Brood parasite hatched he took all the attention and the necessary body heat from the eggs. They never had a chance. Awesome video otherwise!
