The story here is based off of the work by H.P. Lovecraft, in particular the short story 'The Nameless City'. So one more Lovecraft reference...there are a ton of them in the game series in general, and Fallout 4 in particular.
@@ShesEmma His horror fiction is creepy and off-putting. For a taste, the H.P. Lovecraft site has a short story called 'The Outsider'. It's only about two pages, and it's a good example of his style. The first paragraph: "Unhappy is he to whom the memories of childhood bring only fear and sadness. Wretched is he who looks back upon lone hours in vast and dismal chambers with brown hangings and maddening rows of antique books, or upon awed watches in twilight groves of grotesque, gigantic, and vine-encumbered trees that silently wave twisted branches far aloft. Such a lot the gods gave to me-to me, the dazed, the disappointed; the barren, the broken. And yet I am strangely content, and cling desperately to those sere memories, when my mind momentarily threatens to reach beyond to the other."
With the Lynn Wood tower, I normally sneak up to the top, trigger the alarm and watch the carnage as the raiders get torn apart (literally) by the deathclaws :) In Survival, they are nearly all Legendaries and Veterans in this location.
Magnolia was voiced by Linda Carter, the Wonder Woman actress. If you care to go talk with her again you can still try to flirt with her. The Cabots are a good example of Just No Right Answer. Both options have their benefits to you.
Lynda Carter also wrote and sang all the songs that Magnolia sings. And she was married to Robert Altman who founded ZeniMax which owns Bethesda. That's probably how she was given the character but she's so good at it that I don't mind the nepotism.
