No shit. Gronkowski was there to prevent a hailmary, not tackle. Have to ask Bellichick why he was out there when the Dolphins were at their own 30 yard line. Bellichick just got out coached
@@briandavis8504 well hes a tight end so not really. A future hof te at that. So no need to brush up on shit at least nowhere near the amount of stuff you need to "brush" up on just to be mildly successful.
@#1 Obviously struck a nerve. Last time I checked players playing on defense are supposed to tackle the player from the offensive team. Future HOFer or not. I've seen kickers and punters do better than that!
@@briandavis8504 his job was to bat a pass down standing at 6'6, if he was that good at defense he would be there more often now would he. You get thrown into something completely different then your job and perform it to standard from the very first moment.
Hey, genius, uniforms has nothing to do with their victory. It's call hard work. It's called guts, grit, and pure determination...with a never give up attitude. Uniforms? The DUMBEST statement I've heard in the last 24 hrs!
Michael White they did! Color me surprised as the offense gave NE virtually every opportunity to win this... again. Thank goodness the D stood up this game. And Jaylen? He looks good.
Who’s here after the Dolphins just ruined the Patriots hopes and dreams from a first round bye Edit: Now who’s here after Ryan Tannehill beat the Patriots in the playoffs?
Remember when they used to say Eli Manning had Brady’s number because it was so difficult to win in the Super Bowl be him. Tannahill has that number now.
The Patriots erased the Miami miracle once they beat the Chiefs in KC, now that they are Super Bowl Champions again, this play puts a smile on my face, it means absolutely nothing! Stairway to 7! Let's go Pats! Super Bowl 53 Champions!
I remember watching this live. In the mall in a shoe store and I went absolutely nuts I didn’t care who saw or heard. I was at tears because earlier that year my uncle who was a diehard dolphins fan and made me into one had passed away. I know he helped right then and there
Same, my daughter was like 1 or 2 years old. She’s 6 now. Since she was napping, I was watching on our little Tv in the office we have in the house. I woke her up with my screaming and running thru the house. Wife was like wtfffff and when she saw the replay she was screaming. Kid was screaming. Everyone was screaming. I slept on the couch that night
Same thing happened in 2013 and 2015. NE had to play the AFC Title game on the road because of a Miami upset. If Dee Ford knew how to line up, this could have meant something :(
@@Jonnytjatbecause it was pretty obvious he wasn’t gonna make it to Drake in time. Stumbled and too far away to get up to speed enough to reach him before he made it
Only thing that's missing is the Stanford University marching band coming out on the field, interrupting the play before it ended. (1982 Cal vs. Stanford)
Never gets old. As a lifelong Dolphins fan, I've witnessed so many magical moments. There is something about this franchise that continues to make it special, even when we're down. But alas, the future looks bright. Fins up!
1 year later, Dolphins went into uncharted waters and repeat the Patriots in the final game of the season. Who’s here after Fitzmagic cast a winning spell?
Pollo Gaming Your comment is entirely wrong in all aspects. I’d like to know how you have achieved this level of stupidity. It is a rare honor and a privilege to have met someone as dumb as you. Thank you for your comment!
..gronk is not a defensive player, thats the problem lol.. sure the pats have used him before on defense, but when will they learn.. don't rely on gronk lol..
THE NFL #1 PLAY OF THE SEASON!!! Performed with perfection by The Miami Dolphins! Mark my words...take this as a sign that a certain team is going to the show sooner than you might think! Way to go guys!
@@masift1494 Fins need two more wins to secure a spot in the playoffs. They’re the only team to lose 7 straight games and then win 7 straight games in a single season. One of the greatest season turn-a-rounds a team has ever made.
@DesertDirtDog -- First ever multi-lateral walk off TD in NFL history. Longest TD from scrimmage with zero seconds remaining on the clock. It smashed records. Fins up, baby!!
SR Clipper83 I mean it would keep their playoff hopes alive so technically it would be a miracle, as it prevented them plummeting to the bottom of the playoff race considering they lost to the Vikings now
This is literally one of the best calls of all time when he says “gronkowski!!! Didn’t have the angle” and then he runs right by him for the game winner.
I’m a Dolphins fan so don’t think I’m hating but shouldn’t that have been an illegal block down field lineman are only allowed to block a couple yards down field on a pass play as far as I know
sgreene96 I’m no rules expert but I think linemen stay behind the line of scrimmage because they’re not eligible receivers. Once the ball was caught and started being lateraled down field, eligible and ineligible receivers became a nonissue.
I was at a roller rink and this was on tv live. Dear lord I started screaming and going crazy. I still get chills watching this. It’s just so beautiful.
@reallyrealdonaldtrump Well, you're mistaken if you think I'm a Miami Dolphin fan. And any time the Patriots lose brings a smile to my face. Especially when they have the lead and blow it in the final seconds of the fourth quarter.
Crippled gronk?!! He caught for over a 100 yards that game. He was out there to catch a Hail Mary not to run and tackle someone. Which he openly admitted afterwards in the press conference.
As a Dolphins fan, I was very surprised to see Gronk playing safety. That's a defensive screw up considering Miami was on their 31 yard line. Drake turned the corner fast enough to get by Gronk. Miami took advantage. Ball game.
The Patriots usually do things like that out of their own hubris. No way the Dolphins win now. They're on their own 20, 7 seconds left you know what? Why not send Gronkowski out there for the hell of it. The Patriots have gotten away with doing stuff like this for 15 years every single day. And then again, today isn't like every other day.
I've been a miami dolphins fan since 1969, so I have seen a lot of there play's over the years, if you watch this play carefully, especially the slow motion replay, notice how every player did exactly what they were told to do! Amazing!
Nathan Boards Why is Gronkanski at the fifteen and not a couple corners or safeties situated on the goal line?? Groningen looked like he was running in knee-deep dolphin turd. How pathetic...
