Let's see if Ramshot Enforcer is a good powder for the 7.62 Tokarev cartridge. There's no load data for it to my knowledge so that's what I'm here to find out.

Brass: Starline
Bullet: 78 gr RN
Powder: Ramshot Enforcer (12.7, 13.0, 13.3, 13.6 gr)

As a combat cartridge, due to penetration alone, 7.62x25 is superior to 9x19N. It can safely be loaded to .357 Sig performance in terms of FPE. In a sidearm and SMG, 7.62X25 is just better. For home defense and personal carry with an all copper hollowpoint (or simply hollow cavity to yaw and cause trauma) it would be the choice as well. It's a great, unsung cartridge.

I have seen a video where some madlad replaced the normal tokarev bullet with the bullet of the mosin nagant in the cartridge. The pistol managed to fire 3 shots before being severely damaged.

I shoot a CZ-32 in 7.62x25. A lot of WWII Germans & Soviets would agree the round is a KILLER! Likely hazardous for intruders in an apt, etc . where the semi-armor penetration could harm the innocent

Thanks for the vid man! Looking to start reloading my TT ammo too. Is 13+ grains of powder safe to fire in these older pistols? PPU ammo for ex is only 5.5 grains

I got some ammo the rating is 1670fps with an 85gr bullet, I think that's wrong totally, because they don't feel any different to me than the typical fmj stuff. I've heard for years Tokarev rounds are supposed to be that fast, I haven't personally observed velocity like that. anything up to 1450fps is typical in my opinion. theoretically though if it can be pushed to 1670fps that's impressive in terms of energy for an automatic pistol that's basically 32 cal. do you know why the firing pins tend to drag on the primers??? I've had 4 Tokarevs from different countries, and they all do it. currently I have an m57 an it drags to.

Well a lot of companies will mislead you with velocities sometimes by using longer barrels for their tests. It's entirely possible it's from a 10 inch barrel which makes sense because that's what the ppsh-41/pps-43 is. But I've chrono'd factory ammo such as S&B and around 1520fps out of this gun I believe. And i think it's entirely possible to load a bit hotter maybe even 1600+ safely. not sure about the firing point dragging though.

Hey man, just to weigh in here my M57 Zastava drags a bit on the primers too. Not sure why, but never had any issues with the gun so far!

@@kingfatiusiii4744 it's not an unless you want the shells or if one hits you in the face. I ended up putting a heavy comp on to slow things down. That helped. I use a non captive recoil spring as well.

How much powder to put to make subsonic rounds out of this
@pvtpinecone420
@pvtpinecone420 2 месяца назад
I would not recommend this powder for subsonic loading. It's a slow burning powder and could result in a squib. Also pushing a light bullet that slow might not even cycle the action because of such low pressure.

@@pvtpinecone420I was gonna push a 115 or 122 grain bullet out with probably 6.5 grams of powder tite group green dot or trail boss
