When Mike said "baked cookie dough" my brain automatically translated it as "cookie" 😅 I mean, if you bake cookie dough, wouldn't it become cookie? 😂😂😂
Your videos became like marvel films... every true sorted fan knows to watch the videos until the very end because there is an end bit that you never want to miss.
That my friend is not just reduced fruit cider. That is reduced strongbow dark fruits. I know that can like the back of my hand. That's real hero water.
Excellent idea. That should be pretty easy, just don't be Clarkson, Hammond, and May. Maybe the next redux should be the paella from the episode with Paloma...?
I'd love a Spanish food week, but I'm Spanish and let's be totally honest; there is a 0% chance they wouldn't offend Spanish people. Spanish people are suuuuuuuper sensitive about their food. Jaime loves Spanish food so much he would probably perfume his children with chorizo if he could and they STILL almost murdered him.
Thanks for bringing back the social into my days! Because of my current job, I live more or less isolated from the outer world, far from old friends, physically. Sometimes I'm worried that I don't even know how to interact with people anymore. Now, I'm on a special diet and cook a lot. Although I really enjoy cooking itself, I started to add a little extra entertainment by watching food videos while standing in the kitchen. That was how I came across your channel last December, got addicted. It's not just about the food (I think you don't have a single recipe that I could prepare without tweaking) but about making me remember how good it is to be surrounded by friends, doing something all of you are passionate about. I mean of course I don't know anything about your relationship, your highs and lows but still love the atmosphere of these videos. For the first time in a long time I feel like making new friends, starting to socialize again. Thank you guys, you really make a difference in ways that you might not even imagine :)
2010 version you'd pay £2.50 for in Tesco. 2018 version, 2x smaller, you'd pay £8 in M&S. Both taste bloody amazing but in one scenario you get to eat a family size shortcake.
I remember watching your older videos as a highschooler starting to cook for the first time, and the "budget-friendly basic student cookery" vibe (I still remember the beef and ale stew with a little board with the per portion price!) Sorted had then carried me through most of college. Now, nearly a decade later, I'm at a different stage of my life (well, sort of -- medical student versus high school student, but my line of credit is certainly bigger!), and Sorted's current focus on more elevated cooking, sustainability, and exploring cuisines is right in keeping with my relationship with cooking nowadays. I feel so grateful my growth and Sorted's direction has somehow been in such incredible lockstep. I have branched out and now also regularly watch other food channels, but this channel has always been the root of the joy and love I have of cooking. Thanks so much, boys!
I'm loving this new series! I watched the old versions while back in high school, and it's neat to see how both yalls and my cooking has elevated, I can keep up with your recent recipes, when back then it would have been way over my head:)
Its been years!!! I started watching sorted before entering college now I finished my bachelor’s degree, taking up law and still watching the show! ❤️❤️❤️
I would totally eat them both! I love 2010 sorted so much... Not sure how I found you but have been following since the beginning. 2018 is amazing too, seeing how much you have grown as a channel and learned as chefs and normals!
The 2010 version is more what sorted started off as I think, helping uni students learn to cook. And now it’s expanded and grown into something fancier and bigger~
What recipe should you guys do next? Some sort of cookie dough that has been baked. Real suggestion: redo the recipe for fish fingers with Barry's cousin Ollie!
Ben I'm proud of you. You were putting sprigs of mint on your food from a young age 😂 btw you all are so much better looking now. Like if you agree Edit: omg I'm so surprised. Thank you so much for all the likes!
Question,”How did we build a channel?” Answer, y’all were so cute and trying so hard! Ben did and does such a good job guiding everyone!! Love the “re-sorted ones!!
I loved this video because it has my favourite things about this channel - you let Ben actually cook, AND explain what he's doing. Plus it has a comparison to taste. Nice!
I think this might be my favorite series you guys have ever done. I've been watching since way back when so it's really cool to see how you change the recipes now that you've grown so much. Can't wait to see which ones you give a do-over next!
PLEASE KEEP DOING THESE I LOVE THEM nostalgia??? bc omg... i've been around that long watching y'all (i used like 4 recipe's of yours in highschool and even one in elementary school!! for projects and the like ^^) these make me sooo happy
the best part of this series is that the old recipe is just done in habberdashery, to make fun of their past selves, but even then it /still holds up/ and that is /amazing/
Its so crazy because now i feel old for remembering those videos. I think i started watching in like 2011ish and wow boy howdy time is weird I’m having an existential crisis
Really? To me he looks like the guy with the best grades who always just writes with this one single pencil that gets shorter and shorter through out the year until it's barely visible anymore.
when all you want is a abit of strawberry cake at a BBQ and Ben brings something out that makes you feel you should of worn a suite to eat it and had an after dinner mint
What great timing for this recipe guys! We've have a bit of a strawberry issue (needlegate) here in Australia so we have stacks of strawberries as we have been trying to support local farmers. Guess who is making strawberry shortcake this weekend...
Baked cookie dough...love it. Also...I’m making both versions of this for a bridal shower this weekend! I love you guys! Thank you for making my week better💜
Been watching these videos at work for the past month and now I'm all caught up and it makes me sad that I have to wait for new ones! Amazing stuff, I've started cooking more at home too! Please do more of the Pass It On and Step Up to the Plate videos.
I like how Mike always goes "ah, wow, what is in that?", tilts his head slightly, gives it a good look while turning it around with his fork like he's expecting to find the secret.
I love these vids. Love the throw back and the new ideas, but especially i love to see how you yourself visibly enjoy these vids so much and seem so proud of what you've achieved (and you hav reason :). And the use of Mike's old music really is key - i always always enjoyed the music back then and still think it's cool and catchy-unique. Dear Sorted Team, please make more videos of this kind! Thx for your work :)
Strawberry recipes... perfect for all Australians right now. We need to support our strawberry farmers thanks to the strawberry sabotage a couple of weeks ago. Thanks SORTED
I would love to see an episode where you compared plain baking sheets, parchment paper, and aluminum foil and detail when to use each and what the difference is... Because I get confused and I don't know why I can't just cover my pan with foil so it won't get all dirty... Apparently it makes a difference in the dish .. I would love to know why... Maybe a challenge where each group had to use a different technique plain baking pan, pan with parchment paper, pan with aluminum foil. I would find this incredibly helpful and I would love to see your sorted twists and comedy added.
In the American South shortcakes are basically fluffy scones. Definitely not done in a tin. You'd make the shortcakes and split them horizontally, layer with strawberries and fresh whipped cream (and possibly vanilla ice cream).
I wish I had been watching you back in 2010! I found you guys because of Grace Helbig's first season of Not Too Deep back when there was a video portion of the podcast and I thought you guys were so goofy and I've been watching you ever since then!
I would love for you to put the new recipes in the description so we can have a comparison! I love the remaking of videos! Please do more! Also how did you guys look so young in those videos like almost unrecognizable?? Also I love Mike “How did we build a channel” XD
I live in North Carolina in the USA. We are still suffering through a HOT end of summer. Both of the desserts look fabulous. But the original strawberry shortcake seems that it would hold up best here. Also, the cookie dough dessert screams Fall! Which we don't get to enjoy for at least another month. I don't know. I got nothin'. You guys are amazing and I would love to try anything you make.
