Furthermore, successful examples of prodrugs, either already on the market or in clinical trials, are presented, emphasizing their pharmaceutical/therapeutic/clinical advantages compared to the parent drug.

Ma'am I have one question Acidic drug absorb from stomach becouse same environment and basic drug absorb from basic medium but but why basic drug is not ionizing in stomach becouse basic drug first will pass from stomach then will reach in intestine and then will absorb from intestine but why basic drug should be ionized in stomach due to opposite environment
