There's a hole in my heart that can only be filled by more boomstick! I was over-binging Army of Darkness and Evil Dead 2 (if you can do that,) and I kept hearing about and even writing about rumors of another Evil Dead movie. Then in 2014, it finally happened- Sam Raimi revealed that the king would be back in a television series, Ash vs. Evil Dead. Today we show some love for this tremendous yet short-lived series!

The series sucks ass,.. Evil Dead 2 is probably one of the best things ever filmed,.. and 1 and 3 are great in their own right,.. but the series is 100% trash, 0 redeeming qualities.

Kelly and Pablo had no right being as good characters as they are. Very glad we got the series. After the sadness that was no more Campbell as Elvis, the more Ash we got was more than enough to be thankful for :)

In the Evil Dead game, the AvED version of Ash actually has a couple of lines mentioning Chet, because in the game, the upgrade points you can find as loot are called Pink F., which leads me to ask how any character manages to function past 10 minutes.

I did appreciate that the series ended with the original Army of Darkness ending, but not as bleak. it was blast and hopefully the "Demons2" like Evil Dead Rise is respectful and doesn't ruin Ash's last stand and his ride into the sunset(or drive into the sunset)

Evil dead Rise is about a family in a high rise building. So it can't damage Ash's storyline as it is, it's own thing like the reboot.

Seriously though get the game it's fucking GREAT!!! Don't hesitate it is amazing! If you at all liked the Friday the 13th game or dead by daylight then you will LOVE this game. It takes the game play mechanics of those games and elevates it by like a factor of 100. It is the best version of those "4 survivors vs 1 killer" type of games ever made. Oh and my favorite lines from this show are "Don't touch any of my stuff. Unless it's to tiddy up." And he turns to Pablo and in a much more serious tone says "seriously though, don’t let her touch any of my stuff... unless it's to tiddy up." Or when ash starts to tell a joke and Pablo says "you already used that one." And ash says "really?" Then Kelly says "almost word for word." Then ash says "huh? Maybe I'm getting that forgetting stuff disease?" Then Pablo says "you mean alzheimer's?" And then ash says "alzheimer's?! That's that forgetting stuff disease! Why would you mention that?!"

I got into the show when the third season started, got hooked by it and was shocked to hear that it ended so soon. Even more interesting, the show ended on my birthday.

Bruce Cambell has mentioned recently that there have been talks of continuing the show as an animated series. No confirmations yet, but he said while he can't physically do the role anymore, he still sounds like Ash. That's why he came back for the video game last year. He only had to voice the character.

The pilot was a dream come true. It was basically a full on Sam Raimi Evil Dead 4. A must watch. I didn't watch any other episodes though because I knew he was not as involved. Maybe I need to catch up.

I miss the series and I was so angry when Starz ended it. I have friends who worked at DirecTV and they told me it was still one of the networks biggest shows. Unfortunately, they felt the budget would be better off used for Outlander even though the agreement was for Ash Vs Evil Dead to run five seasons. I discovered the show much later as a result of discovering this franchise much later after it came out, as it's older than me like most of these franchises (I'm barely 22 but man I love all these classic horror franchises) evil dead was one of the last franchises I got around to watching after I got really into horror during my teenage years, thanks to dead by daylight reminding me that I had a fascination with spooky things as a kid, and I've always kicked myself for it because goddamn has it become my favorite of them all. I watched the original trilogy in late 2020 and in early 2021 found out there was a tv series, and knew I had to check it out. I love Ash vs Evil Dead so much because we get to see Ash grow so much as a character from beginning to end, with that classic balance of horror, action, and comedy that the series is so known for, and it was arguably at its best in the show.

This is one of the greatest series made. It delivers to the fans of the trilogy yet expands the main character and deepens the universe. I watched the entire series on "Play All" without realizing each episode has audio commentary if played Episode to episode. I don't think there's a clinker in the bunch. I'm re-watching the series again with the commentary a month after finishing the series without it and it's great hearing how well the stars get on with each other. Each October I watch the three Evil Dead movies with their commentary tracks but this year Walmart sold the entire series on DVD for under $15 and I bought it sight unseen save for a few reaction videos. Absolutely best purchase I ever made. The chemistry between Ash, Pablo and Kelly is electric with the additional characters of Amanda, Ruby and Brandy equally so. Lee Majors as Ash's father was great casting and the return of Ted Raimi and Ellen Sandweiss (sp) make this show a treat to watch by all but especially by those who loved the first three movies.

Absolutely loved this show ...I was so gutted that we never got a season 4 .....but apparently Bruce has stated recently that he had such a great time producing Evil Dead Rise that he'd possibly strap on the chainsaw and play Ash one last time to finish his story ...we can only pray 🙏

I've to watch all seasons once in a year. For me, one of the best, bloody series ever. Bruce is a god damn master of his art. My wife isn't into horror or splatter, but she loved it, too.

As much as I would have loved a fourth season, I'm pretty happy with the cliffhanger. If you think about it, every movie in the trilogy ended on a cliffhanger, so it only felt appropriate that the show would go out the same way.

Man Ash vs Evil Dead was a great show. The only show I think rivals it in terms of action adventure monster fighter stories is From Dusk till Dawn the series. Except I feel ‘From Dusk’ definitely got better each season and stayed consistent until the end. I use to watch both of the shows together once they were both on at the same time. From Dusk came out first. It was a great era for me having two such iconic and awesome reboots of classic horror I think now is a similar time with Terrifier 2, Scream 6 and Evil Dead Rise all releasing within months of each other it’s been great.

I'm became a hard core evil dead fan after I saw Evil dead II when I was 8 and had no idea that army of darkness existed till I was 10 watching it and laughing myself silly at my old friends house and I never saw the original in its entirety until 2011 and after binging the trilogy I spent years on RU-vid watching the Bruce Campbell interviews and conventions and I never thought there'd be an Evil dead 4 then low and behold I get a notification about Ash vs evil dead in the works and I finally got to watch the whole season 1 and I'd just come out of hospital with liver problems and I had a blast especially with his new sidekicks Pavlo and of course having seeing her kick ass I immediately developed a massive crush on the beautiful yet hard as nails Dana DeLorenzo who came to the UK recently and I was devastated that I couldn't make the convention I was actually crestfallen about it, The Evil Dead films and show will always have a special place in my heart at least we got 3 Evil Dead seasons which sre much longer than the movies so I'm thankful for that ❤️💯😎

This is my favorite show now that I've seen it, how could you spoil and thank your fans any more than this? I love all the characters and chaotic tone. Seeing Ted back as Chet and Henrietta, Cheryl's return, time travel, crazy ending. Perfect. I also love how Ash treats his friends and how once he finds out he has a daughter she is immediately top priority. Kelly and Pablo are so awesome. Lucy Lawless is so hardcore. Endless gags and Ash-isms. Some episodes pay homage to other great horror films too like The Thing every once in a while. So happy with it

Awesome video retrospective! I really love the Ash Vs Evil Dead series. It's one of my favorite horror shows. I had a feeling that it would get canceled, though. I wish it had a longer run but I'm incredibly grateful for the 3 season run that we got. There were so many bloody fun moments that it's kinda hard to pick a favorite honestly. All I know is that we can never have too much Evil Dead. The new game is fun and hopefully EDR is as well. Something else that ED fans should watch if they haven't already is the Creepshow season 2 episode called "Public Television Of The Dead". In that episode Ted Raimi along with the Necronomicon make an appearance and stir up more deadite chaos. It's a really fun homage to Evil Dead.

Now this show was a surprising and impressive return to form for one of my all-time favorite sad sack horror hero icons. It might have took him a few episodes to dust off the Ash Williams persona, but once you did, the one-liners started flowing like water. With an impressive lineup of side characters and some damn good Evil Dead special effects, this was meant to be a fan favorite. Unfortunately, most likely due to poor studio handling, it didn't get the Justice it deserved. But that's what we're here for. Hail to the King, baby.

I finished watching this show last week for the first time. I wish they could've kept it going until the fifth season like they were hired to do, but in all honesty, season 3's finale was a perfect ending and if they really don't pick it back up again, I wouldn't object to this being the final moment of the show. Probably the best horror show I've ever seen.

I actually think it’s better. Ash actually has a lot of depth to him. He is arguably the best example of a tragic hero and this show really hits that hard. He loses everyone at the end just like he did in evil dead and evil dead 2.

I don't know about everyone else but I'm loving the new Evil Dead game. The only thing that bugs me is that it's an online multiplayer. So what happens in years from now when no one's playing it? I hope they introduce an update for an off-line mode. I don't usually enjoy multi-player online games but this is just so much fun, much like the Movies and show. Looking forward to Evil Dead Rises. It would be great to see an animated continuation of Ash vs Evil Dead with Bruce Campbell voicing Ash.

I've only recently watched the series and I thought it was great, it's such a shame that they never did a season 4. That would be so cool!

This is one of the greatest shows ever made imo. I want more im spoiled rotten with ash i could always have more of this storytelling.

Bruce said in an interview years ago that the Fans are why the show got canceled, they pirated the show rather than watch it on Stars. Bruce Blames us even though I bought the DVD's. The game is only available in the Epic Game Store so I won't be playing it until it at least hits Steam some day.

When these came out on STARZ, I wished I could have seen them, but I didn't have STARZ. I'm so glad I could get all 3 seasons on DVD. I hope they bring out Season 4. It was going in a new direction, then stopped.....
