Disagree... I think its one of the best remakes ever made. The acting is solid, the actors are superb and the atmosphere is chilling. I know why its hated so much, but i dont think it makes it a bad remake.
BRUH....how you gonna be out here pronouncing necronomicon like that!? Honestly a bit insulted that made it into the edit. C'mon, you're a horror channel and should know better.
It was half way through its first season airing that i started watching “Carnivale”. “Carnivale” is a show that grabs your attention from opening credits. The mystery and the characters draw you in. For me, i knew i was hooked following the Babylon episode. That episode showed us how deep this show could run. It’s a damn shame this show was cancelled because it was so damn good.
In the late 90s. My hometown of Lawrence, KS. Also home to the University of Kansas, there was an apartment complex were the owners were rubbing one out in the corridors in-between each apartment. There was human Grease around the peepholes, empty bags of chips, real creepy SHITE. When caught they had to pay each occupant 10s of thousands of dollars. SICKOS
The way to reboot Freddy is clear to me. Just make a sequel to Freddy vs Jason set on Christmas with Holiday themed kills and a final showdown between Freddy and Santa Claus... this shit writes itself.
There is something about these darker, smaller, less talked about films that are always so enjoyable. Everyone knows them, but people rarely bring them up. Insomnia, One Hour Photo, Bringing Out The Dead, 8mm, all great movies. Plenty of other ones too that I either don't know about, or forgot existed.
THey need to get a character actor unknown to the mainstream if they ever want to reboot. Dave McRae in Dylan's New Nightmare was a fantastic breath of fresh air after the stinkfest of a remake.
you are a little harsh... this is a 4/10 remake at least. they made a minimal effort and I agree on paper Jackie Earl Haley seemed like a great recast but the director clearly didn't lead him properly... Freddy being "a kid in a candy store" is correct and a great description of Freddy but the fault is on the director not the actor.
In the film, Greg Stillson is ruined when he uses a child as a human shield. In today's political landscape, his followers would not have minded such an act, probably saying God will forgive him. Unbelievable as it may seem.
Seeing Nicholas Cage go from a demented revenge driven husband to a quiet reserved janitor fighter to a goofy interpretation of Dracula to a hideous insane killer just shows his insane acting skill
I just heard about this movie and I'd like to see it, but I'm kinda wary of watching horror films in theatres these days. I'm not sure if I'll regret waiting for a digital release or if I'll get the best experience in theatre like I did with Hereditary but I guess I'll just have to see. I am eager to watch it though, and I'm glad that there hasn't been a lot given away about this film. And if anyone cares, I usually wait a bit with a movie release for friends and/or doesthedogdie to say if there's something that would trigger me. I LOVE horror but I'm not gonna watch something that plays into my trauma and phobias. I don't want to be in an audience if that happens and potentially ruin the experience for someone else. Plus some horror moviegoers are just terrible to watch a film.
Two of Stephen King's scariest villains are Brady Hartsfield (Mr. Mercedes Trilogy) and Margaret White (Carrie) because of how their so grounded in reality.
I wonder what Reese Witherspoon thought of working with Luke Wilson? He was probably the biggest creep on set and he was supposed to be playing the Nice guy.
I have a question, why do your videos start with Midway of a sentence? Great videos but just the start. It's always like you're having a conversation with somebody and then oh wait. Let me turn on the recording
