As a memory hunter capable of warping people's perceptions, what kind of memories will you take away from Neo-Paris? Check out our review of Remember Me.
i think Remember Me is a great experiment in visual design. i love this game, not every game has to be open world. this game is about storytelling. i dig the hell out of the combat system...so much fun!👍💕🎮📺
+Jonathan Allon you're right about that, it's prime focus is storytelling, the combat however is something to be desired, it's "decent" to say the least, but to say the most it could have been portrayed better.
people pause the review, and go buy the game, it is one of the best sci fi action games made, beautiful visuals, good story and taught provoking concepts.. do your self a favor , buy this game and try it, you wont be disappointed
I think Remember Me is a good game. I really enjoyed the music, game play, and the boss fights. The game combat is cool and takes time to get a feel of things. I didn't have a problem with the controls, it just takes time to get use to. A good sci-fi game.
This game has great immersion, graphics, and puzzles. On a bad note the combat does lack a certain flow, and the camera can sometimes get on your nerves. All in all after beating it on hard Id give it a 7.5. CAPCOM TAKES A RISK, STARTS A NEW IP AND THIS GUY NITPICKS THE GAME TO DEATH! and thats why we usually get the same old shit...just cause a game is not TLOU doesnt mean its bad I LOVE these off the beaten path games Like ENSLAVED, PHANTOM DUST, and KINGDOMS OF AMALUR Unfortunately these dont get the support and we lose them forever ITS A SHAME!
Remember me. Visuals and art design: 10 Soundtrack and fx: 10 Gameplay: 9 (combat is better than Batman and memory remixes!) Story and Characters: 10 Score: 9'5 The bad: Cutscenes can be intrusive on the player, but as a pay off you have one of the best Sci-Fi experiences in any media in recent years with an excellent set of characters, well paced story and innovative game mechanics. Memory remixes!! Who's done that before? I just wished it had some more action or a dlc because I really enjoyed the combat.
having actually beaten the game and enjoyed it, it's definitely much more linear than Uncharted. it's corridor after corridor after corridor. Uncharted doesn't do that and i've completed 2 & 3. It's level design is extremely similar to Enslaved. but Enslaved is far worse. the Linearity also hurts with the game's lack of collectibles. unquestionably though this is the second most linear game i've ever played. beautiful graphics, good story, but constricted gameplay
I would say this game is a solid 7.5 .for all the things it does right there are small things that hold it back. Visually the game is nice and distinct and the soundtrack I found was a real highlight. Low point was definitely the mid game and annoying encounters where building focus is the only way to attack the boss.
bought this on sale for €6 + the combo pack for like €0,5 and i must say that this game is worth everythign below €10 for the art style and concept design alone. fighting is boring in the beginning, but juggling combos for your supermoves later in the game isn't THAT boring when you've unlocked more skills.
I really don't think Remember Me deserves a score this low. If anything it deserves a 7 or 8. The combat is not bad. The timing for chaining combos is just strict, which you get used to. The platforming is fun, the world beautiful, and the story is quite good. And linearity is not always a bad thing. In the case of Remember Me, the linearity helps keep the story more focused. And memory remixes are innovative and fun. There are cons though: camera problems and sometimes bad writing.
I think there's still hope for the game. Remember the first assassin's creed? Yeah, hopefully the makers of this game choose to improve this like ubisoft did to their games - making this a game well worth buying.
In an age where replayability is no longer a factor for developers, I appreciate this score. The linearity is only good, if you can be bothered to trek through it again. Linear is now becoming lazy. Also, stripping a combat system from a very built male superhero and porting it to a young female does not transition well. It also did not work for Spider-Man. Both TASM and this, have an issue with "point grabbing". Taking the best things of other projects, then combining it together, hoping.
Backing up your play, GamerJoe91 Loved this game, despite its small (but big) flaws. I got hooked and didn't stop playing it until the ends. While it has a very bumpy start. Once it hits it stride, it doesn't really stop.. I love how reviewers are saying that this game is very linear where it's no more linear than any of the Uncharted games or Mirror's Edge where they got a free pass on this.
the combat is not good. sure it may see good on the surface but even on the hardest difficuly you only get hit if you set the controller down. as for the remixes. yes they are good. but there are only 4 of them and each is only about 15 minutes long.
Just finished Remember Me. Damn.. what a game. I still can't believe the reception for it has been so lackluster. The game has it's faults, but giving this game a score of six? Really?
I think I would have just been happy if all we did we look into other people's memories. That was the only part I really enjoyed. Most of everything else was just boring and annoying at least to me. And the fighting system is just terrible. But I don't usually like adventure games that much anyway. So I might be wrong.
7/10 it could be a great game but the combat is too repetitive and the lack of freedom. also there are QTE events that sucks.....but is not a bad game at all
finally playing this game on Steam/PC because I bought a combo pack on sale for like $5 total or something awhile ago and never fully touched it until now. I must say it's worth a 7.5 so far, haven't fully beaten it, but I'd say this game would have been better as a Movie or Visual Novel of some sort. i also would have liked a male protagonist option. but overall I would have to say as usual, the game trailers reviewer guy is very much correct as he usually is. the man is very keen when it comes to reviewing, i trust him above all other "official" reviewers.
A 7? Please, no, that's almost as bad as seeing games like Infinite get a 10. The design is great, but everything else is mediocre. The platforming is handholding, the plot is slow and often more dull than the combat. The features are hamfisted, that much is clear. It plays like a game designed around a couple of ideas that they failed to really flesh out. The voice acting is laughable combined with the dialogue. Being linear isn't a bad thing, though. People need to realise that.
"I love how reviewers are saying that this game is very linear where it's no more linear than any of the Uncharted games or Mirror's Edge where they got a free pass on this." no it didn't besides uncharted games fighting arenas have a lot of open space for you to go around, not saying that there isn't corridor shooting but this game is incredibly linear
