Every developer trying to cash in on the battle royale craze is an era of gaming that I don't miss. The worst part is that there were genuinely cool and unique takes on the genre (like Darwin Project and Spellbreak) that got buried underneath the garbage.
@@ZACKARDO except from a gameplay point of view it is extremely polished, its free, and constantly gets updated. You don't have to like the game but to say that is just delusional lmao Epic did everything right in order to keep the game alive while other publishers and devs fucked around. The fact you can unironically say that while things like The Culling existed is showing your bias.
@@RekashalGames the culling doesn't count. I'm talking about the games that caused the battle royal craze, and that is PUBG, Fortnite, APEX. Fortnite isn't better than either of these 2, neither is it polished more than these 2, it simply appealed to kids more, and being super main stream and cosmetics heavy. Pubg couldn't find a way to fight that so it ended up focusing on mobile version, Apex is it's own thing now kinda, but fortnite is just as relevant as ever, which isn't fair, because i do believe if it weren't for fortnite, PUBG would have been so much bigger(even though it was HUGE)
Same. It was a cool way to do a BR. Nowadays I’m kinda burnt out on that genre. I just want someone to come along and reinvent it, it needs something fresh
You can still play Spellbreak if you want. The devs did something I wish more devs could do. They released a community version that lets you host your own server.
Best battle royal ever created was HyperScape made by Ubisoft. That games movement and gun play was so much fun and so unique it was like no other. Sad it didn’t make it more than like 3 months. I grinded that game so much I had like 15-20 days when servers shut off
"kinda reminds me like gunz" Yeah, but gunz was actually good and required skill. Downside was that the skillgap for new players was way tooo big. If you couldnt butterfly, you didnt stand a chance.
Recommending Mini Royale tomorrow for anyone looking for a fun BR. Playtest every other week until sometime Q2 this year when the game fully launches. Toy soldiers fighting in a house as the map with solid gunplay
It seems too kid friendly like it’s fun but almost way too casual and I think that they missed the mark bc there’s barely any extract shooters on console
idk what world Charlie's living in, but college bball is still significantly more popular than the NBA. The NBA is really only popular in the sports gambling community. March madness is still hype every year.
Feel bad for Shatterline devs. Theyre based in Ukraine and still tried releasing updates during the war. It had a nice PVE mode too, imo its better than XDefiant.
That’s what I’m saying ik people were spamming generic xdefiant but I think it’s going to be the other way around like shatterline had some very cool PvP mechanics that I’ve never seen before and the pve was incredible like just endless things to explore it was really under appreciated. Do you know if it’s completely dead or is there still servers up?
Why try when anyone could just play Fortnite for free? Anything innovative these other games have could just be stolen from as well, and be put straight into fort nite.
Wonka was super fun. It has two major problems. Timothy Chalamet isn't a great actor and he's surrounded by a stellar cast which makes it more noticeable. And there were 3 endings too many. Still great.
