When Meltzer was on the HDNET MMA show and was asked who his favorite wrestler was, without hesitation, he said Terry Funk.

Even with everyone remembering his legacy right now, he's still one of the most underrated wrestlers of all time. He's so influential and made so many guys.

One of the things that always stood out to me about Terry Funk is what a radical division there was between the wild, grizzled, vicious tough guy he was in the ring, and what a sweet-hearted gentleman he was outside of it. And as much of a sweetheart as Terry was, *I* sure as hell wouldn't want an angry Terry Funk coming after me like in Dave's story about Hogan. That, to me, was emblematic of what a consummate worker and professional at his craft Terry Funk was.
