I didn't quite catch the meaning in the begging when he said "It's a little bit harder to do a talk show these days" then I saw the date. Filmed 9/29/2001 three weeks after 9/11, they would have just been coming back on the air. Pretty wild considering Late Night filmed in NYC too.
I could sense something was off and checked the date to make sure. I remember this, it's so weird to go back. There's a very subtle solemness that isn't usually there. The audience laughter isn't so loud and dies down fairly quickly. Conan's smiles end more abruptly than usual.
He is truly the last breed of actual talk show hosts..... people will be talking about Conan in the same light as Johnny and Dave...by then they'll be left with hacks like kimmel, fallon and that fat brit who thinks he can rap 😂😂😂

When I first watching this on TV,I was hoping that after he was kicked out from the "Late-Nite show" he would be working as bartenders before started CONAN but no.He instead going on yours across the US before being taken by TBS
