I know there must be a lot of material that they don't use, but even so Conan is just so reliably hilarious and so good at spotting an opportunity for comedy it's unreal. He's pretty high up on the list of 'most naturally talented comedians alive'.
He was the natural choice for the Tonight Show, never mind those years with the car-guy hosting. I honestly don't hate Jay, and he does seem happier on his Garage show. He shoulda left it to Conan, though. Conan has the likeability and talent of Carson.
I loved watching the kid with the trash can while the woman was speaking Spanish, watching him look at her and then look at Conan and going back and forth, I laughed so hard
Conan is the best in my opinion. As far as talk show hosts.. even his modern TBS show is ridiculously good. Not as good at the 7 months as NBC but still some of the best. #Conan and #Letterman should be written on stone. #AYY
What you notice when people talk about him is that he really is just constantly 'on'. He'd still be doing all the same schtick, making people laugh, even if he'd never been given a show and had just ended up working in Target. My favourite story comes from when he was writing for The Simpsons. I think I heard it on one of the DVD extras for series four... So, if Conan proposed a joke but it fell flat in the writers' room, he would mime _putting on a space helmet, climbing into a rocket and slowly blasting off into space._ Even writing that down makes me laugh.

I can't believe that this show is no longer on the air. Conan was one of the funniest men on late night TV but yet and still NBC decides to go with other guys. I just don't get it.

One thing I gotta say is conan mentioned that summer feel at the start. Is it just me or has that feeling died in our universe? Like does anyone even know anyone who lately in any few recent years has even felt like it was summer when summer came around
