Remove and Replace Mobile Home Floors.
There were some weak spots in the mobile home floor. We didn't want to fall through so we decided to repair the flooring.
A common problem with replacing subfloor is how to provide adequate support of the newly formed and installed flooring edges. I show the entire process from lay out and demolition to installing new flooring structures, 'blocking' and the new sub-flooring ready for carpet.

There is a right way and there is a wrong way. If you do your Mobile Home Floor the right way and not the wrong way it will last much longer and you’ll have a much smoother surface to install your sub floor too.

Nice job guys. Wifey is like "you're doing this same work all day today, and then you come home and watch other people doing it on RU-vid" lol- true enough, but I'm nowhere near as fast as you guys are. 54 inch tubs suck- but I found my local plumbing supply has fiberglass tubs with the surrounds for only 600 bucks. Beats putting in a shower kit IMO.

I would like to see how you determine what pieces of floor that you need to tear up and replace. And by the way, there is a builder in Austin (Matt Resinger) who also swears by the Advantek floors and uses it in the homes he custom builds...saw it in the video he published last week...

It’s the best floor you can use that’s for sure I swear by it. I wouldn’t use anything else. We’re working on a roof now on a mobile home and the people that are doing the inside used OSB 5/8 on their floor not something I would recommend.

That glue worked great under my home. Why are some areas of insulation covered with the paper and others are not?

The vapor barrier always faces in. If the insulation is faceless meaning no vapor barrier then you see the insulation as there is no paper on either side. Owner got both so we use it.

I will like to use this subflooring for my mb and vinyl flooring on top but acording to advantech you need to add if Commercial Carpet, VCT, and Sheet Vinyl: Minimum 1/4 inch (6 mm) thick plywood underlayment per flooring manufacturer recommendations. I know it says recommendation, so maybe just 23/32 plywood for this application is better. Have you use advantech and vinyl flooring without that 1/4 panel. of plywood in between them. How many days has been that piece of advantech under water so far. Thank you in advance.

Yes I have used vinyl flooring on top of this before and we left that piece in the water for 25 days. Nothing happened to it I’m gonna have to look that up because I’ve neverseen that before.
