** Don't forget to check out the first video in this series (on my channel) for this to make more sense! 4 2500 watt amps, a 400 watt amp and a 200 watt amp as well as the DSP and power cables, all yanked out today. They are in perfect condition still! Thanks for watching, don't forget to subscribe and turn on your notifications. I haven't unbolted the 18" subs in almost 20 years...since I installed them in my backyard under the awning. YEARS before I had my own shop! The amps were done at my shop WAY before I had CNC machines but the wall was done years before that and the subs have never been taken out once since. Anyway, thanks for watching if you did!
Would you possibly be up for selling me the equipment? I'm going for an all Rockford Fosgate system and you have everything needed to complete my build.
for real. Plus, every time i give something away I never hear back. Never get a thanks, never get a "i hooked it up and i love it..." nothing. So it ain't worth it for me. LOL :D
It’s the way the world is nowadays always looking for a handout cause they can’t afford it or don’t wanna work for it. Love what ya do Steve and keep up the awesome videos.
Nothing like seeing how far you have come, with a blast from the past. If you have time, could you maybe expand on some things you did then, that you do differently now and why?
I think it would be pretty cool to do a 2023-24 take on a car that was in fashion in the late 00's. Don't do neons, do LEDs. Don't do a little turbo, do a decent one. You know what I mean? Of course do the sound system to a respectable amount too, but leave the car usable. I think that would be awesome!
I guess i have a hard time GAF about it LOL. Also my shop got really busy and some of the fun stuff like this got pushed to the side. Gotta do what i gotta do.
@meade916 oh I understand completely sir gotta hustle and do you and set aside fun stuff and chilling to make the dream work. keep it going please and thankyou
Steve mate G'day from Australia. Don't be worried about the background noise in your shop. If you had some guy playing the bagpipes, another guy scratching his nails on a blackboard and a third bloke standing on a cat's tail, I'd still watch your videos. You're awesome mate. Keep up the great work.
I remember when I bought my Fosgate 800a2. I thought I was doing big things. 😅 And all those AGM'S reminds me of those big RED'S batteries I had in my first lolo.... .memories galore in this video OG!!
I mean don't get me wrong, the craftsman was still there. But the quality of your work has so drastically increased over the years. It's crazy to look at stuff like the foam and old stuff. Hidden or not you don't do anything near that unpolished anymore. Growth is insane. Nice job man.
Damn Steve even back then a few years your work always been top notch 👌 this is why I love watching your channel and been watching for years now cant wait what you do next with this legendary civic even if you make it a normal honda 😉
I love how well you take care of your stuff. Car audio is one of my hobbies. All your amps an subs look great .im sure you had tons of fun with that system. Cant wait to see what the new plan is next thanks for sharing steve. Im still a fan of your channel.
Uoooo Steve! You still jogging homes? I think you mentioned you were running for your workouts Btw I went carnivore Jan'23 it changed my life, my mental and physical night and day. Was this the same car when you were chillen and Tupac was around?
Bro your warehouse looks like a fkn millionaire funded operation. It’s been absolutely nuts watching it grow over the years. The amount of fancy tools and sheer amount of space is wild! I can only imagine the projects you tackle these days
Shout out to you steve i been watching your videos for more than ten years and its the reason why i enjoy car audio and why i got into it looking forward to see whats next with this car
Damn whats crazy is... you have the experience now to make this build 15x better. I truly cant wait to see whats in store for this build. I really hope you color match it to either the tahoe or caddy.
Man I remember being in middle school watching this car on RU-vid. I had two of your SMD shirts back then and still have them stored in a box. I’m now 30 years old and married and have a daughter now. Time flies man.
@@meade916 you got me into car audio, Steve. Bought a subwoofer in middle school without even having a vehicle yet hahahaha. I look up to you big guy thank you for everything you do!
Don't tear it apart, steve, please... This is such an iconic build, and it was a huge part of so many of us old-school bass heads who have been around for a minute. I think some @gatley audio 18in subs with 4 of the gatley 5700s on them..
Definitely would be a sweet either way. 2-18’s in a civic. = ridiculous loud slapping, but be pretty dope to put back seats back in looking stock but do a blew though port using the backseat center cup holder arm rest thing cut out. Do like 8-8’s or 4-10’s. Shit 3-12’s was the go top back in early 2000’s. Lol
You know you could do both, make it a normal car but put a stealth sound system in it that way it can remain usable but still have a little bump in tha trunk, just my thought though.
Man! That’s so cool! To be on the cover of a magazine! I definitely say keep it in the family. Or if anything, fix it up and simply do a giveaway and hopefully the winner is an appreciator of your Work and Music In general.
Man that's a beautiful setup, definitely a mead build, I love watching your builds and tear downs and daydreaming of what I want to do with my car someday lol, keep coming with the 🔥 videos!
Please don't take the wall out you did such a good job it looks great just change amps subs and batteries. I remember watching all those old videos of this car. It will hurt to see you take it out
Man I got my tahoe I wanted but man behind the 3rd row seats there is no space at all for subs at all looks like the 3rd row seats are going bye bye for my system to be put in
Dope work as usual man😎I remember the video you and Anthony bumping in it when he was younger lol..I’m just 1 2500 short for my build(have 1 need 1 more)..wondering if you would sell me one..don’t hurt to ask🤷🏿♂️
I don't really watch much car audio related videos anymore, but I am looking forward to this series. I hope to see some sort of build, but if the decision is made to put it back stock for now, is what it is. Started watching Steve's youtube channel at the beginning of youtube in my early 20's, can't believe I'm almost 40 now.
Stay with the old school stereo. Keep the fosgate amps with some 19” fosgate subs. Keep it old school. Keep the memories of your little civic going. One of my first cars was a little 86 Honda civic crv back in the early 90’s. Had big plans for the civic and it was stolen from me. Was never seen again. I feel your pain on your car being stolen. Bring her back to life with a bad ass system!
it's funny shop noises don't bother me in the least. as long as you can understand what is being said, and we can very easily. i actually welcome the shop noises but i know im in the minority on that haha
well it is a dismantle project. No promises there will be anything spectacular happening. Maybe, maybe not. Depends how busy I am and how much I feel like doing to it.
I have that magazine that this is in.. would be neat to see a recreation of the original system with new 18 subs “ stroker classics” lol j/k on the subs.. kinda want to rewatch the rebuild after it be stolen maybe I will tomorrow
This is just my opinion i know in the long run you'll do what you want with the civic but i say rebuild it into something crazy and keep it in the family
I competed in IASCA SQ+ back in the mid 90s. When we tore down the Sentra for the last time it was bitter sweet. Months of work gone in 3 days. I miss those times.
