I was just talking about doing this. Leaving my roof up and taking out the cheap sunroom walls. I have a raised porch that it sits upon. I don't see any support beams though, almost liknth walls are holding it up. I don't know. I'll figure it out.
@@MyDIYAdventures I do think that is the case. I'd have to put posts first. I'd have to remove the aluminum ceiling that is in there too, looks like shiplap, to see the frame to know where to put everything.
We are attempting to do the same thing, take the walls down but leave the roof. However, there are outlets, switches and two flood lights to deal with. How would you deal with the electrical. Also, we aren’t sure if there are support post there or if the walls are actually holding the roof up. The video ended before we could see why you took the support post down, why did you do that?
The posts came out because it got all new walls framed up under the roof. Usually on something like this, if I run into electrical, I would just cut it out of the way and let the electricians run new wire for any new fixtures the room would be getting.
I honestly don’t know what the cost was, I was just the labor for the contractor. There was a whole new concrete slab and footer poured, and it was finished as a full room as part of the house. Is that what you are planning?
