The thing people don’t understand about us mechanics is the ability the take this stuff apart and put it back together after sitting while waiting for parts all from memory I amaze myself sometimes
A lot of it is just common sense, the rest is setting everything out nice on a table, and never go too fast, of course when ur working for a company you don't really have those luxuries. @@donbuchanan8776
I personally enjoy basket case transmissions and transfer cases brought in by customers who attempted to rebuild it themselves by watching RU-vid videos. I have an eidetic memory which is both a blessing and a curse at the same time. I can disassemble something and toss all the hardware in a bucket and come back to it a year later and to me it's like I disassembled it hours earlier that day. The curse of having an eidetic memory is remembering each and every person who ripped you off or screwed you over and you can't let anything go.
Not me I take pictures and meticulously bag and tag bolts and parts so I leave nothing to chance works better for me and it saves time for me trying to guess and remember
Another Great Video, Warren. I hope you enjoyed time with your family and had a decent Christmas. I wish you and your family a Happy New Year. I appreciate you taking the time to drag us along on your adventures. Thanks
Something I did warren a while ago in my shop, got a 44 gallon drum trolley, cut the top off a drum and a couple of opposing holes in the top and push it around to my work area as a scrap steel bin, so I can just bin broken bits and bearings and shit. When it's full I just put a two chain lifting hooks in it and place it straight in the scrap steel skip. Saves me from picking up shit off the floor. Love all your videos, learn allot and also get to silently sympathise with you ha ha. Good to see im not the only one having issues some of the time. Keep up the great work.
I worked in machine shop as teenager, ran rod machine and changed pin bushings .Also piston assembly before moving engine assembly. Loved it.Just didnt pay. I watch your videos to learn trouble shooting. Its an art.
I have been watching videos about trucks and heavy machinery all day , as well as diesel mechanics work , and its great to see another warren video 👍🔧, have a good one 🍻
I just love the rawness of your video's Warren. It went from, what looked like a lovely sunny day to a cold winter's morning with out a hint of transgression (ffs) music. It's always great to spend some time over your shoulder. I don't even care if I'm standing in a ice cold puddle of oily water. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and I'm looking forward 2024 to see what gem's you produce....it's so like it was in LA for me all them year's ago just a bit different
Great video warren .at least you have time to spend on it now and not having to shoot off to other jobs .got a good start on it . Now you have to do the new parts list 👍👍👍👍
Hey Warren, nice job ripping that JD engine apart. They are going to be spending some cash getting that thing running again. Hopefully they won’t let just anybody work on it after it’s repaired. Thanks much for the video. Happy New Year!
Just want to wish you a Your family a Happy New Year. And with all the work you put in this past year. I Wish upon you to have a wonderful New Year. Thank you for sharing your skills. And for allowing me to learn more than I ever would have without you. Thank you
I enjoy the mysteries Warren. Where did the extra valve bridge come from , how did they barbecue that crankshaft... Thanks for sharing. Best Wishes for the New Year.
Ah good its nice to see you happier working on that chunk of green metal, I guess those wet liner engines really have to have the correct antifreeze/corrosion inhibitor.
Hi Warren I remember you saying about Milwaukee batteries going dead. Thing is vibration is breaking the connections inside. Milwaukee has a new impact 2767 with a suspension system on the battery mount so this might help your battery life.
Hi Warren, Merry Christmas&Happy New Year. Thanks for allowing us to watch you all these years. If I never work on farm equipment, tractor trailers, industrial equipment I still have learned so much from you...be patient with yourself, demand the best from yourself&those around you, and have fun. Remind me the symptoms of the spun bearring?
My mother inlaw had read some where about some persons grave stone on the back had "I Told you I was sick". So some may be one day we will see a grave stone with "POS Pac Car".
Thanks for the update sir, be interesting to know if they actually did run that engine with no oil, that one rod was burned up for sure. Lots of pieces parts for sure. Thanks.
The one good thing about getting a dirty engine/equipment is you get to see what happen or what is going on. Getting a clean engine is like being a crime scene investigator and the murder scene has been cleaned up. All your evidence is gone, it just makes it harder to figure out what actually happen.
"Piece of shit Paccar", that totally made my day. Warren, you're simply the best. Obviously someone messed up with that tractor engine... definitely a lack of oil to that one rod. The question is, what was the cause, blockage, just low on oil? We may never know. As always, another great video, cheers :)
Hello there! Totally unrelated question what are the brand of coveralls that you wear? I bought a few from Tractor Supply but they suck yours looks like they can take a meeting so I want to buy the same brand thank you so much I love watching your Channel even though I work in the automotive industry watching you makes my job pale in comparison
Hello Warren. It's a Shaim about Daf being bought out by Paccar. Daf made some great trucks in their time. The basic truck of today is good. It's just those paccar engines that let them down. Nobody likes them.
Hey Warren I just wanted to let you know that you are holding your tongue the wrong way and that if you want to get the job done. You need to hold it on the other side of your mouth. I know everything and you need to do it my way and no other way. Lmao 🤣 have a great day and stay exactly as you are. Best wishes and god bless you and your family.😂😂😂❤❤❤
Hope you had a Merry Christmas Warren! Thank you for all the great content. Notice how I didn't abbreviate Christmas, or instead say "Happy Holidays"? That's right, fuck all the politically correct, liberal snowflakes.
Question , What is that mallet with the offset head that Warren is using here, called, what was it originally for ? I can see what it is useful for, in this context, but have never seen one before.
Hey Warren, loving the videos...always enjoy watching different things getting saved and brought back to life no matter how bad a shape they are in. I have heard you complain a lot about the various POS engines and transmissions and such in tons of the videos...but I started to wonder, out of all the trucks out there over the years, all the engines, transmissions, rear ends, computer or not, etc. etc. What would you put together as your "Christmas Truck". What would be the ultimate combination of different components to make the best truck possible. Love to hear your thoughts in the next video if you have time. Same for the tractors too! Thanks again for all the info and entertainment!
