Great video and details. A lot of people would just buy aftermarket doors, but the way your doing it will be even better than original. I will definitely be referencing this video again the future. Thanks for sharing.

I agree with the panel bond. I used it on the drunken turbo's door skins to seal off the flange area. Became a pain to gap the doors and edge weld stuff. Keep up the nice work Ken!

By the time you receive my message here you have probably already been done but since you have the door skin off of the door and after you epoxy primer both pieces inside and out I would purchase me some of that pick up bed liner spray and spray the inside of the door skin and the door structure because Camaros back in the day they had the snare drum sound in doors that drove me crazy I also did the same thing with the quarter panels and every other panel I could get to the backside of including the front fenders and the floor of the truck. Just a suggestion it could make you’re cheap built American car sound better than a BMW going down the road.

Awesome advice! I picked up some Lizard Skin Sound Deadening to spray. About ready to do it. Gotta get the drivers side door done first. Greatly appreciate the comment. Thanks!

Nice, I'm surprised you don't have a sandblaster

I do but with it being cold up here to do that in an enclosed shop makes too much of a mesh.

I was wondering why you wouldn't have just bought 2 new door shells.i believe that it would have been much more productive. But I love your work and videos.

Just a sucker for punishment 🤪 Had the skins, didn’t want to re-buy pricey full doors and risk another “fit” variable. In all honesty, I didn’t realize areas were hacked out until I got into it. Hence the “Soldier On” marker. Appreciate the kind words and comment. What are you working on?

Very nice work. I wish i knew you were doing this. My car is a 68, but I got a passenger door for a 67 from @charlieseidelman. I only needed the lower front frame corner to make repairs to my door, and I would have gladly sent you the section needed to fix the cutout area, so that you didn't have to fabricate a patch from scratch. Regardless of that, your work is phenomenal.

Thanks Gunner. That would have been sweet. Gotta finish driver’s door now - more hacked than the passenger. Cheers Bud! 🍻
