On an additional front after receiving the omen 16 it went back in the box and back to Best Buy within five hours there were too many issues right out of the box. The audio was crackling and horrible playing anything at all if you can't get that right plenty more is wrong.

I did a complete keyboard replacement myself, its a lot of work but i saved a packet and didn't have to send my laptop away. Something interesting. I removed and reinstalled the heat sink about 5 times without replacing the thermal paste, strangely the laptop remains as cool as ever.

FYI , never ever change thermal paste (except cpu and gpu) with thermal pad, I did clean all the waste and replace with pad, and overheat, even the thickness is right, just thermal paste do the job, make sure u take photo so u remember which part is needed to be paste. I use Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut for cpu gpu, and deepcool z3 for the rest, make sure a plenty of z3, i use 2 pack 6 grams. 10-12 °C drop on my omen 16, never overheat on game, maks 85-89°C, it was beyond up to 97°C (sorry my English)

Didn't saw such contents before. One in a thousand video which explains detailed steps on replacing parts. Have one question on 1 tb pcie® nvme™ tlc m.2 ssd. I saw that there are thermal sheet for ssd but after some duration it might deteriorate. Do you suggest to install any "3rd party Heatsink" specially for ssd so to improve its performance ?? Please check and suggest as I am using HP OMEN 16-B0360TX laptop.

I see this laptop doesn't use thermal pads for the other components under the heatsink, such as the Vram. When repasting, can I use any thermal paste on them as long as it isn't electrically conductive? MX-4 for example.

How do you replace the keyboard, I have an HP Omen 17 2021 RTX3080 with a 2K display 165Hz, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD. It has a mechanical keyboard. Some of the keys are non-responsive, and sometimes they are constantly pressed down (physically the keys are functional), even though there is no debris or dust. I have had this laptop for less than 6 months, and I have never spilt any liquids on it.

Solution one- download (specs) It'll tell you your motherboard name, google it to check if it has a graphics card slot that is welded in place or is one that can be changed. If yes then go onto crucial.co.uk it should help to tell you what graphics card you're best upgrading to or if you know your stuff then get whichever you like. solution two - if your card is soldered into place then just buy a new one. Hi thank you for the great video,I have a question that I couldn't find the answer on the internet, I bought a new omen 16 b0002tx and after a year now I found an issue with my ssd,the read speed is 6500 MB/s in average but the write speed is 1400 MB/s in average and never reached to 2000 MB/s(by crystaldiskmark) when it plugged in but on battery it works fine 6200 read and 4200 is write speed,according to manufacturer, specifications for this model "NVMe SAMSUNG MZVL2512HCJQ-00BH1" says the write speed should be 5000 MB/s.(my cousin has the same model and the same issue) what is the problem and how can I solve it?? I'd appreciate for your help

If I were to use thermal pads (to reduce the hassle everytime I need to clean the fans since we need to remove the heatsink in order to get the fans out, I'd use high quality pads of course, like Thermalright Valor Odin), what thickness should I use? 0.5mm? 1mm? 1.5mm? 2mm? Hello. I bought an omen 16 one month ago and since I bought it, the lid squeaks a bit, both when handling the lap and when opening the screen, but the sound comes from the bottom lid, has this happened to anyone else? Hi I'm trying to add a 2tb double sided gen 4 nvme ssd to my Omen 16-b0146tx. When I install the ssd into the open gen 3 slot the ssd bends after I put the screw back in due to the copper thermal pad underneath. Whats the best way to proceed here? I tried installing the new ssd into the gen 4 port where the original ssd was but it doesn't fit properly as there is a connector underneath. Any assistance greatly appreciated

After sending my omen 16-c0004sl to repair to hp support, the touchpad lag issue is still there, how can i fix it??? It is unusable, it lags a lot and the fn+f11 combination to turn the touchpad off and on works just for some seconds, then the touchpad lags again. Updated drivers, uninstalled and reinstalled drivers, reinstalled previous versions of the drivers, but nothing worked.... Searching on the internet, it looks like there are tons of other customers with this problem and some of them found a fix to stop the static electricity to fix the touchpad issue and it actually worked for them who tried... Did you know about this problem or you just ignore it?

I got the HP OMEN 16-wd0059ng just today, and mine doesn't have a second M.2 slot. I checked so many sites and all told me that it has and that's one of the reasons why I ordered this device. @@bikramjitsaharay762 I think it has two slots just like the 2021 version, similar construction layout. Many laptops (especially the gaming-oriented ones) have two slots since 2020 since the laptop market is moving away from 2.5" drives. But I don't know about the double-sided nvme compatibility though since I haven't got the chance (or the time) to test that on my 2021 Omen 16. I have an unused half a terabyte of my 6 years old Patriot Hellfire, IIRC it was double-sided. Maybe when I got home from work, around 10 to 11 hours from now. Coming from my experience with opening my 2021 Omen, I think the first slot could fit a double-sided M.2 drive just fine while second slot (the one on the right) can't seem to fit a double-sided M.2 drive because it has a connector underneath (refer to 1:34). And you wouldn't want to get your drive to be physically touching that connector. Even I'm using an extra standoff to make some distance.

Well the reason why I am asking this is because Dell G15 2022 Models offer only 1 NVMe slot compared to the G15 2021 models which offered 2 slots. I am stuck between OMEN and G15. Thanks for the reply. CLG-3500 white thermal gel has better thermal performance than thermal pads used between the thermal module and system board on video RAM chip, MOSFET, and choke components. The thermal grease used on CPUs and GPUs is deferent than CLG-3500 thermal gel in color and cannot be mismatched. The laptop bottom cover feels like it's torched stuck by how strong it is on there. No matter the amount of force I use I just can't get between it.
