Removing The Deck On Your Riding Mower.

Great video as usual. One last tip to add .. if you are pulling the deck out of the left side of the tractor. First turn the wheels fully to the right. It gives more area for the deck to slide out.

I'll be removing the mower deck on mine this week, to prepair to plow the food plots and scrape the driveway at camp. I do remove the rear mounts however vs. just ty-wraping them up. It is almost as fast as they just pass through the frame holes and I won't worry about the ty-wraps breaking or becoming brittle while ride over dirt, rocks and mud. If you put the deck on the highest setting, you can use a 19mm ratchet without the other piece. The bolt will be parallel to the ground.

Good video without a lot of useless gab. Would love to see a video on you replacing the drive belt. I have that job to do and want to know about how the belt goes in and around the various pulleys and is there an easy way to get the belt around the transmission pulley without damaging the fan blades?

I just took mine off of my GT52XLSI and now i need wheel weights....lol.

That cross-support rod came loose on mine and couldn't figure out where it was supposed to connect to the frame (4:57). Thanks

Awesome - I have a husqvarna YT42LS, That I am about to take off the Deck for the very first time. I am wondering, Do i need to stick with bran Hsqv for a snow blower? can i cross Brand? if i find some at yard sales? if so, which ones?? any ideas?. I see a lot of Sears Lawn Tractor Blower attachments for sale, and i am always wondering if they would work on my Hsqvrn ?

My GT52XLS front weldment (Part # 98) which is in the front of the mowing deck has "jumped out" of one socket and how do I out it back in without removing the deck? How do you replace the blades? One of my blades and the screw was found in the grass.... unscrewed itself somehow after abuse by stones sticking out of the ground. The blade is destroyed.
