Entertainment industry: “What are you Ren, rapper, singer, actor, song writer, producer, filmmaker, scriptwriter, musician?” Ren: “Yes” Entertainment industry: ???…OK, so what’s your genre - hip hop, folk, RnB, rock, pop, electronic, classical, soul, jazz, blues, metal?” Ren: “Yes” Entertainment Industry: “????…Sorry man, we don’t understand. Can’t sign you” Ren: “OK, I’ll do it all myself”
You nailed this one friend. Ren responded to a question about the 'Noah was late for the ark' line explaining he was trying to convey that we humans will probably turn up late for our own salvation.
With my PTSD, I need my mind to stay in the present, watching what's going on in the real world. When I disassociate, my mind goes back to the times I was scared. I lock up, because I'm trapped in my fears. I hate it when I can't concentrate on what's going on around me. I need constant stimulation and constant distractions in the here and now. If my mind drifts it goes to places and times I don't want to remember. I'm getting much better with this recently, I've self-analysed the parts that cause these problems, and can mostly live with it now. But it took me 30+ years to get there.
Absolutely! I'm sure it's the sane for many others here, but I've watched so many reactions that I I see Genesis or Power and and immediately smile my ass off
Great reaction man 👍 He sampled his own voice for the hook 😉 The acoustic version is fire, raw ! Genesis is my favorite Ren's rap songs, the vibe, the mood, unique... My favorite Ren's singing songs is Ready for you... This one is delicious 😍 Hope you'll react to this one 🤞 Thanks 😘
I don’t think there’s a Ren song I haven’t heard by now… but alike so many Renegades, I enjoy the ride of other reactors journey down the 🕳️ 🐇 A good enough reason to subscribe to see you becoming a full-on Renegade, and converting your girl in time too 😉
Proud patreon member hehe And I'm all caught up on this series! Loving it! 1:37 love his videos. I relate to a lot of this part of his story. Life support...man.... This man is incredible. 5:47 yes!! It's definitely how best to raise awareness.
Fire track fire reaction and please never worry about going back, pausing and ranting that's what Rens music makes everyone do💜💜 people wanna listen the track go click the link and not a reaction video 😂 Check out What you want and Halftime Retake Ren gives big respect to those who inspired him 👌🏽🔥
You should check out 7 Sins it is another very raw and poignant song that is very unorthodox in its structure. His lyrics are so next level even for him and his flows and cadence along with beat drive the composition forward relentlessly. The song starts off with him singing in his native Welsh and it j paints such a picture of pain, suffering and despair….this went on for about 8 years. Most of that time he didn’t really know what was wrong and was diagnosed with an assortment of broad categories of illness. Mental illness was the primary diagnosis he was labeled with. This was caused by the stress of the real insidious untreated Lyme disease. The religious themes are a prominent theme throughout the song. In true REN fashion he expands on the ideas of suffering that afflicts us all using the 7 deadly sins. We have all been guilty of them and they lead to the pain and suffering that afflicts the human condition. To put in his words “7 whole sins for a self-made Armageddon” It’s a mind blowing experience. Love your reactions NEW SUB✌🏽
MASTERPIECE! Yes, sir! This is my favourite song of his. There's just something very soulful and extra genuine with this one. You make a great job explaining it in this video. Very interesting to hear the hiphop history tidbits. And the way you describe Ren, you get him completely. I'm so impressed with your mind
If you want to see Ren's level of respect, you need to cover his battle with King Dotta. Dotta called out Ren in "Kingdom Come", Ren fired back with "Dumb King Come". I've never seen the like.
I can tell you're genuine. I really enjoy watching Ren reactions, but you can tell when a reactor is really feeling it, when they're just enjoying it on a surface level, and when they're just jumping on the trend. I can enjoy even those who just vibe with him on a surface level, too, but the ones who really feel it on both a personal, a mental and emotional level are the reactions I actively seek out and enjoy the most. ❤
Love the RENactions. Check out some of his collabs. Chinchilla is great and the "back up" singers in Rens retake of Back on 74/Message in a Bottle are awesome and Ren lets them shine
Ren has actually said on numerous occasions that he’s an Agnostic. He has explained that he really likes to use religious imagery in his songs. I believe he states it in “Eden” as well. Often people like us find it quite difficult to believe in a God. 😉💯✌️❤️
If I can suggest something: whatch the episodes in your own, and maybe do a reaction after to the song in the end of each chapter, having the facts behind that particular song
Proud patreon member. The hardwork & dedication that you put in for your subs is top tier. It's a wonderful community. We're a family. ❤ Its been incredible going down this Ren 🐇 🕳 with you & everyone. There's something special about Ren, that we all can see.
I LOVE this breakdown of the track and of what music needs to be now.... we DO need a reset and yes, Ren is right at the front of that as an independant artist who brings together souls who have been pushed down by the system... Im so glad more people are getting to hear his music and join this community of people. x
An idea I would like people to consider: EQUALITY is a spiritual fact. When going through what might be called a spiritual ego death ( willingly) , I was shown many times in personal life was not treated as an equal. But these angel spirits of goodwill, considered me an equal, and kind of invited me to embrace/ know that. It is a big relief to let go of old invalid beliefs and believe systems and make a step towards heaven on earth.
You're gonna love some of his older stuff for sure, dude's great! He can be serious but also has some tunes where he just has fun, luke the 'Love Music' series, enjoy!
If you have the ability to do so. Check out REN tracks through headphones. This master creates a lot of bilateral music. Adds a whole new depth and dynamic. Extra fire to the inferno 🤘🫶
I just watched this over on Patreon....but im gonna come watch it again here to give you another view and commenting to boost your engagement 😂 Imma say it again even though we established it earlier....i LOVE this song lol. My Playlist loves to sometimes repeat the same song after i just listened to it like 2 or 3 songs previous so i skip, but when it plays this one again a few songs later i dont ever skip it lol.
Is this the Drum and Bass mix? It's hitting different than the original music video. My personal favorite is the live acoustic but it's a great song, whichever version. Great reaction as always! ♥
If you rock with ‘Genesis’, then you’ll LOVE ‘Castles Made of Sand’💯 Sonically similar, bouncy, the beat slaps, a crazy sample, deep lyrics, but his FLOW goes CRAZY‼️ It’s just not as requested because it’s a deep cut only found on the Bandcamp Digital Deluxe version of the Sick Boi album. Btw - it’s not a Hendrix cover song
I love this one and struggle to stop myself raising my arms when he does.. all good when im listening at home but a different story when im at the supermarket
Great insight, GOAT!! You mentioned Nas... Ren did a retake as a tribute to him and other hip hop GOATS. I agree with others suggesting Power and Seven Sins. Good idea to do chapters on your own, a lot of people felt even though it was public, it wasn't appropriate to react to (though some chose to.)
i think he said the line with profession twice to show a double. his profession (job) is artist his profession (speak out on) is bringing light to the dark
Such a beautiful and thoughtful reaction to one of my favorite songs. I'm new to listening to rap and feel like I've learned a lot from this reaction. Ren mentions Kendrick in Seven Sins, so he's definitely a fan. Kendrick is one I've checked out, liked what I've seen and plan to check out more. I'm with you. You have to have the art and you have to have something worth saying, both... I don't mind a just-for-fun song now and then, but if that's all you got, don't bother
Has anyone told you to do the Halftime (Nas Retake) track? It's only 2:10 (half the length of the Nas track 😉) but you're talking about respecting the history of hip hop and I think you'd like it. While not message heavy it is bar heavy, too. Ren convinced Webby to allow reactors to monetize reactions to his music, too. I haven't branched out to tell you if Webby's good or not, though I do like the track Webby and Ren did together. Just thought I'd mention him as another who is now reactor-friendly.
Having watched the whole reaction now, you really need to check out his Nas Halftime remake, I genuinely think you'll appreciate it as much as I appreciate hearing you talk about the culture 🖤🖤🖤
Love your reactions and your knowledge. Ren is the only rapper/hip hop I have ever listened to (64 yrs young) would like to know who else to listen to and which tracks 🍻
EMINEM SIR....EMINEM...START WITH "Rock Bottom" and then "The WAY I AM" and then "STAN" and "SAY GOODBYE TO HOLLYWOOD" after that you can dabble in whatever you want! enjoy! and thanks for watching!!
@@darrylarmitage6357 heyyyy wassup my man. I just saw that you joined the journey. Thanks for supporting the channel in the biggest way possible !! And yes man, the hunger he was flexing his lyrical muscles haha
@GoatWorthy_ Reason I appreciate your breakdowns because of your deep knowledge, not just music but life. I think you should react to Halftime (Nas retake).
