A beautiful heartfelt reaction Michael. I just have to wonder what else Ren has in store for us, I do not think that I will ever stop being surprised and excited by this fantastic artist, he is just an exceptional talent. As a 70+ year old I have listened to and followed all of the greats of the past and put Ren up there with the very best.
100%, I only said at a family get together on Good Friday (as I had The Big Push playing in the background) when a few family members asked who was playing, that mark my words, in 20 years time Ren will be known & up there with all the legends of our times ❤
I said in an early reaction comment that i didn't think Ren could play guitar in the ethereal emotional way of my favourite guitarist, David Gilmour. He certainly achieved all that on the piano in this gorgeous piece of art. Yo and thank you for this reaction.
Again tears with this song… music can make us feel things… Ren’s music is the direct transference of feelings from one human heart to another… thank you… yo are amazing …❤
I’ve watched this so many times now, of course I cried the first 20 times, and I’ve kept my composure for many times since…. until I just watched this with you… 0 composure 😢 I respect you a lot Mike, musically and humanly (if that’s a word) Thank you for this Take care brother 🙏 Daz
Love that you read the background story for this one! Ren asked us all to think of our departed loved ones during the premiere. Ren is so good at helping us release our emotions and letting feelings rise to the surface! There is so much beauty in this piece! I loved it! Yo Mike ❤ thanks for reacting ❤
This instrumental makes me feel as if I was a leaf drifting down the river of life. For me, it sounds as if it goes from serene to whimsical to rapids to serene again, mimicking life and all it's struggles. And the final serenity is death. As for the location Ren's at, it's the Hoodoos near Drumheller Valley, Alberta Canada. You should google it. It's a very beautiful place as seen in the video. Great reaction yet again. Peace and love.
This piece is so full of floods of emotion ,you can almost hear his voice trying to tell us who the man was and the frustrating emotion that comes from his knowing we will never have the chance to meet him.
Yo. I didn't know that chord signified hope but you're right; it does. It sounds so dope on guitar too. You're always bringing out so much understanding of the music.
It was absolutely transcendent. I like how you put it- the process of processing emotions. Grief in music form. Haunting. Told my family to play it at my funeral. Great reaction as always ❤
Love your take on it, Mike ❤Sounds beautiful on guitar. Reactor, Dicodec decided to improvise a guitar part on top of Ren's piano playing, and didn't say a word. It was touching.
Yo! I saw some images from this session last year, during the summer. I imagine Ren came up with this one quickly, recorded it as soon as his crew was in Calgary (someone said June), but sat on it, knowing he wanted to release it on or near Callum's birthday. And, yeah, it's a beautiful piece!
I needed that... Beautiful melody, a composition that anchors the spirit to calmness and propels the gaze towards the future horizon!... Thanks Ren. Thank you for the reaction.
It sounded like he was telling us all about Callum's life. Kind of sad and messed up when he was young, then he had a manic faze and then he spiraled to the end. That's how I felt listening to it. YOu're the best Mike.
Yes indeed, Ren knows how to pull the heartstrings! Yo Michael I really enjoy hearing and seeing how other musicians respond to and can break down what they hear when listening to a new piece of music for the first time!
Michael, the first time I heard this song Freaked me out because it was so much not like ren and yet it was exactly like ren. There's absolutely nothing this guy can't play if he really puts his mind to it
Yo ❤ beautiful reaction Mike x Isn’t this piece just sublime in all its emotional facets 🥹 I did not realise you were a fellow Aussie dweller, how wonderful 🇦🇺🥰
Yo, thank you for your reaction to this... always nice to hear the interpretation from your musician eyes and ears. I heard a couple of other musician reactors also comment that he ended this on a "hopeful" note ❤ that is a beautiful thought!
Thank you for your raw emotions! It affected me the same way. It's such a beautiful tribute. I really appreciate your guitar interpretation. You did a beautiful job. ❤ R.I.P. Joe and Callum. Thank you Ren for honoring their lives with such love.
Yo I have seen a lot of corrections to McEye so assume Ren must have said it during the pre-premier livestream. I hear a flow starting in their their childhood, the scene of & aftermath of Callum and Lewis deaths, then finally the state of acceptance Ren finally reached that allowed him to make the piece.
This looks loke Drumheller in Alberta, where people go to look for, and dig up, dinosaur bones and fossils. I can just imagine hiking in the canyon, and hearing this bouncing off the walls....beautiful. Yo.... gotta say... today, the beard is on point.
Lol, you made the wrong decision. Mackay is originally the name of a powerful Scottish Clan which was based in the far north of Scotland. Clan Mackay were followers of Robert the Bruce and fought against the English at the Battle of Bannockburn in 1314. The pronunciation is like MAK-👀 with only one eye, so Mack-i. I hope you enjoyed the wee history lesson 😉🤣🤣.
I recommend making a reaction to one of the best vocalists in the world. Meet Diana Ankudinova! Diana has the title - Queen of Goosebumps. Challenge yourself, can you resist the charm of her voice? One of the last comments about Diana's voice: Pffff.... her voice is really very special, unclassifiable, atypical, out of the ordinary... 💖 1) super unique voice (dramatic contralto with polyphonic overtones); 2) the most complex vocal techniques, a bewitching voice; 3) Diana sings in 6 languages : English, French, Russian, German, Spanish, Arabic and any musical genre; 4) incredible charisma, artistry and living of any song; 5) a vocal range of 4 octaves; 6) a large army of fans around the world; 7) an independent artist, without producers and labels, only with the support of fans and reactors like you; 8) more than 20 thousand reactions (all collected in my playlists). The incredible fate of a girl found with a broken collarbone at a bus stop and ended up in an orphanage.

Mike, Ren worked on this one for a while. Some have said that he played it in the Money Game 3 BTS extended version near the end. I haven’t been back to view it yet, but it makes perfect sense. Ren is self-taught and has been playing piano since his school days. He used to spend lunch hour in the library, playing piano. You should know the setting. It’s near Drumheller, Alberta. Would you call Ren a musician’s musician?
