Enjoying the Ren reactions ! As someone has already pointed out in the comments , “The tale of Jenny and Screech (FULL)” has all three in the correct order. (Jenny's Tale, Screech's tale, Violet's tale). I strongly suggest reacting to that video and listening to all three at once instead of splitting them into three different reactions. It’ll be a long reaction , but it’ll be worth it !
Thanks, that’s how I am going to do it… we will probably end up somewhere in the 40-60 minute (or more 😱) range on the reaction…. I think I will have the time this weekend to do it, if not hopefully early next week.

@@MAWGReacts normally I'd also say split it up so you have less work and more time for your short ones but I think Jenny and Screeches full tale is an exception because it's like a movie, you wouldnt watch parts of it and take a break.
That's true of a lot of difficult to diagnose illnesses. Chronic digestive issues are often treated as stress-related in the absence of physical evidence to the contrary. In situations where there is an absence of physical evidence, a doctor will work by the law of averages based on the information they've got, which results in this. And the root cause of this is money. Not enough doctors, not enough nurses. Then theres the cost of diagnostic investigations. Doctors will do (and are encouraged to) standard tests to keep costs down, are punished if they do too much (and too little). And it doesn't matter whether its public healthcare or private insurance - the people who govern them are always looking at the bottom line.

On to this number, it is a lot bleaker than a lot of his stuff, although Ren often deals with the darker matter. he usually does it with a light touch and a great deal of mischievousness and cheek. Pure storyteller. It's probably the Welsh in him.
The “society tells us it’s suicide, but still we commit” line, is just another brutally beautiful, poetic double entendre from Ren. Yes you’re right about what he’s saying about society’s message, but it also means the most awful act that an individual can commit on themselves. He is an artist in every sense of the word 🧡
Great reaction 👍 Ren had an American doctor watch a chat vid when he was really struggling with his condition , amazingly the Dr offered him free Stemcell treatment in the US and from that treatment his health slowly started to improve. Who ever that Dr is deserves a big thankyou 🙏
I think part of the problem is doctors diagnose people without actually listening to them. They hear a key word and think they have it all figured out. I started going to doctors at 13 and they pumped medication after medication into me. It wasn’t until I was 33 that I found a doctor who correctly diagnosed me. The wrong medication can mess you up. The right medication can change your life. I mourn those lost years.
I know this was done a while ago but THANK YOU for caring enough to wait on Jenny and Screech until you had more info on the order. Sorry I can’t help with Jenny and Screech I’m became a fan less than a week ago when I saw Hi Ren. He has a big variety of styles from what I have seen so far. The song Chalk Outline with Chinchilla is really good and different from what you have heard so far. Glad you are going to continue reacting to him. Looking forward to the next one 😊

Great reaction. If you look at the individual videos, Ren put out the trilogy in this order: Jenny, Screech then Violet's Tale. He even put together a video recently with the videos in the correct order called the tale of Jenny and screech (FULL). You will love it!!
It's confusing because Jenny/Screech were written about a year prior to Violet. However, Violet is a prequel to Jenny/Screech. Your next question would probably be, well wouldn't it be better to watch the Violet, the prequel, first. Having been one of those who watched Violet first I'd say don't, go with what everyone else is telling you and watch them in the order written. That's how I watch them now, when I rewatch them. Not only that it’s obvious they were supposed to be listened to in that order, (I..e Violets Tale last), otherwise in Violet’s tale, there would be no need for the time transition that takes place in the song. Anybody who doesn’t get that hasn’t actually understood the tales.

It typically takes me 15-30 minutes of reaction per every 3-4 minutes of song when artists actually have depth to their lyrics… I don’t know how long the full trilogy is, but if you all will watch an hour+ long reaction I have no problem making it that way.
@@MAWGReacts I think it's like 13 - 15 minutes for the whole trilogy, so a bit longer than Hi Ren. But agree with Sandra that that's the best way to do it.
100% agree! It’s a shame when people watch them out of order. Even if they are watched in the correct order but are broken up into separate reaction videos it loses continuity and impact. Watching the full trilogy video is well worth the 13+ minutes!!
For the tales there is a Jenny and Screech (full) video on Ren's YT. So listen in the order he does it Jenny, Screech then Violet. There's also a live version (concert, as all his song vids are done live) of the tales, but it's long. However, it does contain an additional short tale between that of Screech and Violet's
Respectfully, given how often chronic illness patients are gaslit into thinking their problems are "all in their heads" - and knowing Ren's challenges with receiving a proper diagnosis for a very real physical ailment - I'd like to recommend against validating the line "your mind is making you sick" in this context. The brain-body connection is indeed complex and sometimes this sentiment is relevant, but given how he positions the medical professional in this video, this seems like it is intended to be a sarcastic recognition of how his symptoms were minimized and misattributed. I've seen a lot of reaction videos say similar things recently, and as someone who has received this non-explanation for a very real physical disability, I'm just concerned with the prevalence of this sentiment and how often I'm seeing this. Again, this isn't directed just at you and I don't mean to sound like I'm singling you out, to be clear. It's a common comment that I think might miss the point a bit. That said, I appreciate your passion in this reaction. Those with physical disabilities and chronic illnesses just "read" Ren's work a bit differently, due to our own similar experiences to his. It's a bit of an "insider" conversation with different connotations among different interpretive communities. :)
No worries, I have been expecting this comment…. I understand exactly what you mean and where you are coming from. Trust me, when I realized the context he was referencing, I wanted to take it back… I wasn’t necessarily talking about it in the same context as him. Up until recently, I was a medical professional, I have worked in hospitals for over a decade… I was speaking more along the lines of the healing aspect of the phenomenon. Absolutely in no way shape or form did I mean to suggest that your mind can be the CAUSE of a physical illness. I absolutely apologize for it coming across that way, it was not my intention.
@@MAWGReacts The mind can make you physically sick. thats a fact. I was stuck in a room and in bed for over 5 years and the specialist did not know what was wrong. I just got better in the past few years and just stopped going to all the doc and taking infusions and the first 2 years 60s mgs of prednisone a day that almost killed me. I do not truth the FDA and Big Pharma. Nobody should. its all about MONEY and not lives!!! when I first got sick i had something in my left lung and they took a biopsi and had me ready or getting me reasy for cancer treatm,ents. it went away but they grew the tissues over a week and said they did not know what it was. that I was the mystery of their carreees. they tried to say i had MS but I said no and refuused the 20,000 a mo9nth treatments. to hell with them I am fine now

Thanks for the heads up, I’ll tone it down a little for my next video… it’s hard to balance the audios properly though, because not every song is recorded at the same volume levels, so my goal was to find a general level that works with most songs. Thanks for the heads up, I’ll remember that in case I need it… Honestly though, I avoid lyrics or captions unless it’s absolutely necessary. The way I see it, no one ever catches everything on a first listen, and part of the fun of music is catching new things on repeat listens. Reading the lyrics kind of removes that aspect of the song for me. To me, a reaction should be raw, and your initial response to the piece of music… mistakes and all…. That’s why I hardly ever edit my videos. Currently there is only one artist I use lyrics for and it’s because he speaks 4 different languages and goes in and out of them, but the lyrics are all in English. 😂
You have to do the FULL VERSION - the one with all 3 in one. You will not have the same reaction if you listen to them separately. To get the full impact of the story & all the emotions that go with that it is best to listen to them back to back (Jenny, Screech, Violet). Looking forward to it!
If you Do Violet last it makes for a mystery and violet solves the mystery imho. If you do Violet 1st it’s a straight story. I prefer the mystery route. Cheers for the video.

While the Jenny/Screech/Violet trilogy is good, I suggest an alternate course: Chalk Outlines (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4Vn_N5IHHoc.html) - A brutally honest examination of struggles with dependence, depression, suicidal ideation, etc delivered with profound insight and beauty. The Hunger (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1T_fLytBFM4.html) - An incredible demonstration of Ren's spitting chops, 450+ words in 149 seconds with continuous changeups in cadence. The lyrics (found in the comments) are absolutely amazing, telling the story of where he comes from and where he sees himself going.
If you cut the pauses and length of comment in half this would work better, I have to watch at double playback speed just to get through it without deciding to bail. Glad you waited for proper instructions and did not do as some reactors did and do 'Violet's Tale' FIRST, wow, that would have sucked.
Interesting what you say about ticks and Lyme disease. In the UK the most prolific carriers of ticks infected with this disease are deer. Rats in the UK carry their own lethal disease (spread via their urine and droppings) which is fatal but that we call that Weill’s disease.
The deers get infected in the same part of the cycle as we do. And I just double checked, in case I had to correct the record, but it occurs exactly as I described, but I guess any rodent can carry the pathogens necessary to infect the tick. It’s not limited to mice and rats… Also the other aspect I couldn’t remember in the video is the tick has to be feeding anywhere from 24-36 hours continuously before it will transmit the disease.
Oh that’s interesting, I didn’t know that. One thing I did read somewhere ( but I can’t vouch for its’ accuracy) is that to get infected, the tick bite itself has to be for a fairly long period like 6 or 8 hours or something like that.
Duh, I misread your reply. I thought that you meant for the tick itself to get infected it had to be feeding for 24-36 hours but in re-reading it I think you mean 24-36 hours to transmit the disease and infect another host I.e us.
@@MAWGReacts Incorrect, some pathogens are immediate after just a bite. Mine was attached for 12hr and I got 3 bacteria’s and 1 parasite. Most of CDC information is skewed thus the Lyme wars. I recommend the documentaries under our skin and a more recent one, the silent epidemic. Chronic Lyme and co infections are not treated in mainstream medicine. You have to go to a private pay Lyme literate practitioners. REN’s story is way more complicated than a misdiagnosis.
