Very classy looking bar. Not sure how I feel about the see through wall between the bedroom and bathroom😮. I'm guessing there is some kind of blind right??
I prefer to stay at the SPG original brands within marriott bonvoy umbrella. Sheraton westin fourpoints St regis usually give breakfast at main restaurant as a welcome gift option
Yes I know and if you have stayed at the Sheraton in Sukhumvit i’m sure you had a good experience, but this is my favourite hotel! Especially the living room! I believe they are due for some renovation so I will get more details, but I will be doing a new video as there will be some changes next year. At this hotel, I thought they were very selective on sweet upgrades, as I don’t think the hotel occupancy was full. Just something small to bear in mind apart from the breakfast. Also, no outdoor pool?.
Hey! I think the lounge is okay. It’s better than Marriott on Soi 22 & 57 and Surawong. it is also more lively than the Westin. I prefer Le Meridian as it had a better feel. I didn’t feel like I could talk to other guests quite so easily. I know SGS doesn’t have a lounge, but it has a living room for elite guests, and for me this is the best by far! I love the live music, the staff, the selection of drinks, the vibe and it’s quite easy to talk to other guests which makes the night more interesting!
I would also say that the Atheneum and JW are both better. Although JW service has deteriorated. I’ve had quite a few people say this on my travels so I no longer stay there. Plus never get a Suite upgrade 😂
@@loveflyingandhotels Maybe a ranking video of your favorite Marriott hotels in Bangkok? I like to see your no. 1, but I think it would probably be the Sheraton Grande.
@@chinaberg 😂 I actually plan on doing this, but unfortunately it will be next year as there are a few more hotels opening in Bangkok over the next several months and I will be visiting those and would like to include as many as possible. When I make the ranking video, I will look At each hotel, from a personal perspective, business perspective, family, solo traveller , lounge and other elite benefits as well as Price, room, upgrades, and quality, other facilities and the quality of food and beverage and service.
@@somemale Thank you for your comment! Yes, I think the Westin wins hands down. Although the Renaissance is more modern, the Westin has 1) Really amazing chefs, 2) far better location, 3) as a Titanium member, I have ALWAYS stayed in a suite (upgraded) 4) You can eat breakfast in the main restaurant, selection is amazing - assuming the policy hasn't changed from early 2023, 5) the staff are also very nice, 6) Outdoor pool and decent gym and 6)Slightly higher quality drinks for elite members (if you are a drinker). The GM, Robert, also says hello to everyone in the lounge during the evenings. However, the lounge is a little more quiet. It is split into 3 mini rooms, as you enter, you have mini room 1 which has a few seats and quite close to the reception desk, mini rooms 2 & 3 are on the left and right respectively with several seats to choose from. It almost has a more sophisticated feel to the lounge as it is quieter and has more sofa-type chairs. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Pe5tgfpyS1g.htmlsi=7SHsz-E-asLpSk4D Enjoy! Here is a link to the review if you want to watch it.
I stayed at ROS and JW last time and had good experiences. However JW is more pricey and ROS won’t work this time as I need to stay close to Sukhimvit. Currently deciding between REN and Westin, although Westin Is around 800THB more per night
