We are using duster from last 8 years , we have two dusters 1st generation and 2017 gen both diesel , the fun to drive it unbeatable. I have drove other segment cars also ,but the handling and manoeuvrability is unmatched.

This is a great car. I bought duster CVT in 2018 and I still enjoy the drive. Renault introduced compact SUV segment in India with Duster. To rewrite the success story again, Renault should focus on upgrading the design and features. Compact SUV segment has become the most lucrative market for first time car buyers and there is already so many options available n this segment now.

This is a new series of petrol engines called HR series. Starting from 1ltr to 1.6 ltrs. This particular engine is called HR13 engine. The upcoming Renault and Nissan subcompact cars will have HR10 petrol engines (1000 cc turbo )

19.35 about rubber band effect not so pronounced in this engine 1. Generally CVT transmission has the tendency to rev to high rpm when given more throttle input. This it to extract maximum power and torque which in most engines that have a CVT will be at a high rpm. Ex: Honda 1.2 ivtec 90bhp@6000rpm, 110nm@4800rpm 2. Only at such high rpm the engine still produce its maximum torque to provide response to the heavy throttle input. This will result in the engine going to a higher rpm quickly in a CVT transmission but the actual acceleration is much slower. 3. This will result in undesirable increase in rpm, engine noise and more fuel consumption. In simple words rubber band effect. 4. Turbo engines matched with CVT are a really good combo because of the above mentioned reasons working in favor of turbo engines since the maximum power is produced at slightly lower rpm and maximum torque is produced at a significantly lower rpm. Best example is this duster 1.3 turbo petrol. 5. In turbo engines the engine doesn't need to rev to very high rpm hence the CVT will keep the revs at the maximum torque band for a longer time which is a much lower rpm. Hence rubber band effect, engine noise and fuel consumption is reduced. That's the magic decoded of the turbo CVT combination. Sadly there are not many cars which have this combination since a CVT to handle higher torque output is expensive. Honda amaze turbo diesel with CVT is another good example of less rubber band effect. Looking forward towards the same combo in the upcoming Nissan magnite and Renault Kiger.

Duster is one of the best shape SUV. It is well proportionate

Duster is Beautiful SUV for our Indian roads 🇮🇳. With 1.3turbo this favorite suv has more muscles 💪...... “Built quality, Good Engine, comfortable Suspension is way more important than key less start and other lazy features ... “ Right or wrong ? I guess it’s worth buying a Duster for just 13-15 lakhs than spending 17-19 lakhs for lazy features.
