@@markellis4229 bargain. These places like GSF and ECP take the mega piss tbh. They’re constantly offering deals to the public cheaper than garages get it from them on account. It makes it look like we’re overcharging for parts when on a trade account a part is £50 + vat and then the customer can go and find it online for £23 posted
@@StupidBlokeStupidVideos I know what you’re talking about. There’ should be regulations put in place for a healthy competition. It’s the first and hopefully last time I will buy online for car parts the bills were a bit more tight end of Last year. and my mot was due before Christmas. my back spring failed a week before the mot 🤬. this year I will be moving my mot forward in better times of year so hopefully I won’t be forced to buy online due to Financial difficulties. I do really detest buying off-line. id rather buy local and keep people in a job and support their livelihoods and if the parts wrong I can take it back and swop it for the right part.
@@markellis4229 I know what you mean. I can’t blame anyone for buying from them, it’s the way the companies treat their loyal trade customers that I have an issue with. I’m actually a motorcycle mechanic/MOT tester and it’s about 15 years since I worked in cars and trucks daily, so I don’t generally get any decent trade discount on car parts anymore anyway. All the car mechanics I know are having this issue though, getting accused of ripping folk off cos they are being ripped off theirselves. Back in the day we used to get parts for about 30% off usually and then we could mark them up a bit and sell them at retail price that the customer would have to pay for them if they were to buy them themselves anyway and still make a little bit on them, but those days are long gone.
Try doing it up here in Scotland and you will get both ears washed at the same time the weathers that bad. And exactly what I say to my kid ,stick in at school and pay some other fecker to do it.
