Welcome to the AW Services RU-vid channel
A few months ago someone drove into my rear bumper whilst I was parked in the car park and in my van at the moment it happened.
the rear bumper is a moulded plastic skin that affixes onto a press steel sub structure and clipped into place.
only these past few days I had a dash warning message with regards to my ultrasonic sensors as one had fallen from it's retaining holder which was part of the inner moulded bumper and had snapped off
I cleaned the inner bumper where the plastic housing had broken off using isopropyl alcohol
I had found an old brass pressure quick release fitting and stripped it down as the inner brass core was an exact fit for the inner of the sensor housing
I then found a M8 nut and bolt along with a few washers to create a mounting jig fixture to hold the housing in place while the epoxy resin had set
once set I will make sure the housing is clean and go about refitting my ultrasonic sensor.
This is an easy yet affordable repair and much cheaper than buying a replacement bumper skin as it's a one piece part just to fix the sensors
I hope this video helps someone
