Not necessarily the plugs could be a bad connection.just try something if your having this problem as it helped me find the problem. I put a bit of weight on the air box and the coil light went out and it worked fine. I then noticed my air box mount had broken one I replaced this was fine. So must have a bad leed some where.
@@stevenbillingham4227 the blue plug is only on the older vans IE 2001 -2005 1.9 and 2.5 engines , it is located under the expansion tank with the fuses under the bonnet.
I have the exact same issue now Van starts but cuts off when tey an rev upto 2k revs but rev more than 2k revs an it drives perfectly apart from clutch slipping. Had it plugged in an faults came bk as engine speed sensor and camshaft sensor. So gona get these replaced tomo an hopfully see what happens. But mechanic also said to check all the wires that come from below the ecu as its common for the wires to get fraid an hence cause the communication error which then causes engine to cut off. To do this you need to remove the ecu from engine bay an under the ecu will be all the wires. Also make sure the ground wire is all intact at both ends. An repair any wires that look broken or friad. This should solve the issue.
Same problem to me,i changed ecu and bcm,pedal,i sold every wire from blue plug and today i want to change the 4 wires from the pedal to ecu,error is accelerator pedal position sensor corelation
Hi Karl - after 1 month the mechanics came over and finally started my DCI yesterday but it does not rev past idle. I never got a chance to look at it yet. What was your fix ? Did you clean the plugs going into the ECU ?
@@KarlPowell1970 I've seen your video with the blue plug fix, But before I've tried that the acceleration pedal fixed itself and works fine now.. It just fixed itself but I think it will stop working again
@@darrenbaker8378 it just became temperamental about whether it wanted to start or not. Sometimes was fine, sometimes a non goer. I just got rid of it in the end.
disconect the battery , the blue plug is onlu on the 2.5 and 1.9 models upto 2005 i think , get a wire brush on the blue plug terminals and give them a good clean .
