as i understand, calamity ganon is essentially just ganon's malice and soul leaking out of his body, meaning calamity ganon is actually one of the weakest ganon forms shown in the series, since it can't do anything special and lacks ganondorf's personal cunning and physical might. so, not much reason to include it beyond the fact that it shows ganon blocking out the sun with his power.

The Netflix Castlevania anime is based around the storyline of Castlevania 3 with Trevor, Sypha, and Alucard..I'm sad there was no Grant as that was the thing about Castlevania 3, it was a prequel game that took place before Castlevania 1 and you could choose a partner to go through the castle with based on what route you took from one of 3 possible partners two of which were cursed..Sypha being turned to stone and Grant being turned into a demon in the Clocktower, while Alucard pretended to be Dracula to test Trevor's strength. Before IGA hacked it out of the time line the first Belmont to fight Dracula was Sonia Belmont on the Gameboy and it's hinted (pretty heavily imo) that the Belmont's power comes from the fact Sonia herself was strong but also she had a child with Alucard as the father and thus all further Belmonts had some of Dracula's own power flowing through them by his son. IGA didn't jive with that and Sonia is forever relegated to her own timeline that is not part of the current Konami canon..because even though IGA is no longer with Konami they kept his CV timeline.

Even if Calamity Ganon appeared, Dracula still has transformations that rival in size and power so the outcome would have been the same. The one from curse of darkness is such an example of said transformation. In fact, i believe it is the same game that described Demonic Megido as Holy power.

The real reason Ganondorf lost was because he forgot to impale Dracula through the heart after cutting his head off. You gotta do both to permanently kill a vampire.

When you were talking about the history of the Castlevania games, you forgot Rondo of Blood. That’s the best Classicvania. Lament of Innocence was a 3D Ps2 game, earliest in the timeline. Leon Belmont was the lead in that one.

at 27:47 the little info box mentions how the whole triforce had the power to for a limited time. Stabilize lorule. Another power the Full triforce had was when fully wielded. it corrupted the sacred realm to the dark world of Link to the past. Reshaping it in ganon's image. They mention that Ganon only ever had control of the triforce of power. Which is factually wrong. Link to the past is the only instance where he had all three pieces of the triforce. Due to that timeline being the one which he killed link off in Ocarina of time he would have taken all three pieces. That being said however. I highly doubt ganon would have won anyway.

When it comes to Dracula‘s backstory there was one little detail they left out that was mostly just a minor detail so I didn’t mind that they skipped it. When he originally became Dracula that was his revenge against God initially. By becoming a mortal he was “spitting in the face of God“ And for a while that was enough for him it wasn’t until the church burned his second wife at the stake that he decided screw it I’m going to become a curse on all of humanity.

Lament of Innocence & Curse of Darkness were amazing because Lament was the beginning of the whole Castlevania beginnings of the Belmont Clan and Dracula's origins. Curse of Darkness took place right after Castlevania III Dracula's Curse.

The fact you expected Ganondorf to win because Drac transformed first and the shenanigans at the end but then Drac pulls off the win is apparently a sign the Death Battle writers are hopefully starting to notice their own tropes and resolve to change things. As for not using Calamity Ganon, BotW is supposedly, along the many time axes of the Zelda timeline, the most distant point in the future of all Zelda series, and they did state the more Ganondorf reincarnates, the more mentally damaged he becomes, which while he very powerful at this point, he's basically become a mindless avatar of evil at that point. Also, as for the stuff about being sealed in the Sacred Realm at the end of OoT, him actually being trapped in the Sacred Realm is what sets up two possible Zelda timelines. Wind Waker, Phantom Hourglass, Spirit Tracks, and the Tingle games make up the Adult Link timeline, which is the one where he breaks out almost immediately and leads to Hyrule itself being flooded & sealed, whereas Majora's Mask, Twilight Princess, Link's Crossbow Training, Four Swords Adventure, and Hyrule Warriors trace their lineage to the Child Link timeline created from when Link returns to his time after beating Ganon in the future and warns the Royal Family of Hyrule of Ganondorf's intentions before he can even get in the Sacred Realm. Finally, the last primary timeline, where the Sage's seal sticks and then he twists the Sacred Realm into the Dark World, and that in turn later becomes Lorule, comes from that timeline where Ganondorf beat Link in OoT, leading to A Link to the Past, the Oracle games, Link's Awakening, BS Zelda: The Ancient Stone Tablets, the Oracle games, A Link Between Worlds, and after ALBW this timeline splits again depending on when the next Link appears. The Early Link timeline is truly the worst possible timeline, as it has the Legend of Zelda Game Watch, the Legend of Zelda animated series from the 80's, the Legend of Zelda comics, and ~shudder~ the CDI Zelda games. Meanwhile the Late Zelda timeline has the OG Zelda game, The Legend of Zelda, and one last time the Zelda timeline splits depending on if *THIS* Link was victorious or not, and in the timeline Link beats LoZ Ganon has Zelda 2, and finally finally the Doubly Dead Link timeline has BS The Legend of Zelda and Adventure of Link: Hyrule's Heroic Legend. While there hasn't been exact confirmation where on which the time axes BotW & BotW 2 are set, the most logical conclusion based on the lore seems to be that BotW is set in the Early Link timeline splinter of the Dead Link timeline. What *IS* known is that BotW is set thousands of years after any of the possible timelines, as confirmed by one of BotW's producers. Regardless of what timeline it is on, by this point Ganondorf's _(now Calamity Ganon)_ brain is pretty fried from his multiple reincarnations, and Death Battle has a rule about using a combatant at their prime, so they go with a version where he has his full faculties, meaning his stats were largely based off of the OoT/LttP/TP/WW Ganondorfs, when he was fully at his prime. As for the other games, Skyward Sword is confirmed as the very beginning of the timeline just after the formation of the land & sky by the three goddesses, then after Demise's defeat we have Minish Cap & Four Swords, and that leads to OoT.

So actually Calamity Ganon is a build up of 10,000 years actually. He was defeated by the previous hero who wields the sword that seals the darkness, came back 10,000 years later sealed by Zelda and then 100 years later wakes up and defeats calamity. Now there is Ganondorf who is Appearantly beneath Hyrule castle and he may prove to be so much more powerful than Calamity Ganon.
