Renegades React to... DEATH BATTLE! - Optimus Prime VS Gundam (Transformers VS Gundam) 

Before watching, I’m 90% certain optimus is gonna win. The RX-78 is powerful, sure, but it’s more in the Real Robot genre relative to Transformers’ Super Robot. Optimus & the other transformers are *basically* magic, whereas the rx-78 is just like... a space tank. Even with Amuro in the pilot seat.

This is one of my three favorite Death Battle episodes on Season 5, the other two are Samurai Jack vs. Afro Samurai and Thanos vs. Darkseid

This was one of the more one-sided Death Battles if you really think about it LOL the type of robots Optimus Prime has fought before, the original Gundam was just an afterthought. Btw great reaction guys.

Despite the fact that Optimus prime still won, from what I gathered about amoro, I don't quite think his precognition is not exactly precognition, as his powers are more telepathic in nature, I think that it's less precognitive and more using his telepathy to mind read the enemy pilot's movements, so because Optimus doesn't have something like a human brain, he shouldn't be able to predict his moves as Optimus is not a human

You guys are forgetting Cybertron Optimus Prime, Beast Wars Neo Big Convoy, Lio Convoy from Beast Wars 2, Powermaster Optimus/God Ginrai those Optimus Prime's would be able to take on Turn A Gundam, Shining Gundam, God Gundam, Unicorn Gundam, and 00 Quan Gundam but also think about this G1 Optimus doesn't kill humans so if he knew Amuro was in the cockpit he wouldn't have won the battle, Bayformers Optimus however does, go look at Age Of Extinction he kills Kelsey Grammer's character there which G1 Optimus would never do so Death battle fucked up there.

Please react to Balrog VS TJ Combo Even if you're not interested or don't know who these characters are, it's still worth it, before I watched it I had no clue who either character was, and had no interest in boxing, after I watched it I realised that I found myself really enjoying it, and it became my favourite Death Battle for a while, until Optimus Prime VS Gundam and Thanos VS Darkseid came along, but still, I recommend that you give it a watch, I promise that you won't be disappointed

if you are interested in gundam... only two mature-ish series: 1.) Gundam 08th MS Team 2.) Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt. The rest are childish. Gundam 08th MS Team is probably the best series of all gundam as it focuses on the a platoon of grunt/common mobile suits and not overpowered Gundams.

Unfortunately the fight is rigged. Prime is at his prime (pun intended) but amuro is just base amuro and Gundam fans know what he's like at the end of zeta and char's counter attack. If they gave amuro the hi-nu Gundam then he'd be at his peak.

They downplayed the gundam and used one of the weakest off all gundam. This was never going to be a good fight.

Inaccurate a Gundam would not delay that way he'd crush his head lol but meh should of been more fair best of both but nah only best of Optimus I love Tramsformers more but a Gundam would F him up.

db picked a deliberate weak suit if he fought say heero and wing, or setsuna and exia then it would have been gundam lol they just wanted optimus to win i think that it was a bad battle but love the reactions guys
